Just looking at our away form. Only 2 wins in our last six away matches and one of those wins was two months ago (against Liverpool). Didn't realize it was that bad.

Yeah, beyond poor. Even against Stoke until Fabregas's goal we looked like we were about to concede and draw with them 1-1.

Hope for:

Cech

Ivanovic Zouma JT Luis

Cesc-Matic

Costa

Bench: Courtois, Cahill, Azpi (I don't know how bad or what his injury was, is he available?), Mikel, Willian, Ramires, Remy

Sub 1: Cesc/Oscar off, Rami on

Sub 2: Costa off, Remy on

Sub 3: Salah off, Willian on

Easy points for City

You will be surprised. No Toure. Arsenal are slowly starting to get their key players back as well and of course Sanchez is playing as well. Anything is possible in the PL. I am watching the Arsenal game now and Stoke have been awful. You have to wonder how the hell City lost at home to them.

Definitely.

Yesterday's game is the sort of game we would have lost if we were playing away. Wonder if the problem lies with the mentality of the team or is it due to a technical problem?

No idea. But we had some great away games against Schalke and even against Sporting (we were just extremely wasteful). So it's not like we can't do it. I think part of the problem is that we lost some of the confidence we had at the beginning of the season, and after our recent results, other teams know they can get something when we play away. We've lost the fear factor.

The problem is the lack of pace and strength in the midfield. Everytime we've played Oscar and Cesc in tough away games, we've struggled. Matic can't fix everyhing on his own.

Manunited away

Newcastle away (Mikel Instead of Matic)

Spurs away

And maybe more games.

We need Ramires/Mikel in the midfield to support Matic in these kind of away games and some at home (Mancity, United etc), with Cesc playing as #10.

Front 6:

Costa

Hazard Cesc Willian

Matic Ramires

stoke was our best performance (away) this season. dont think we ever looked like conceding. i think the best attempt stoke had that game was a charlie adam shot from 20 yards.

Relatively, Stoke was a very good away performance, but don't you remember how shaky we started looking before the second goal? Stoke became much more aggressive in attack and people here started talking that it smells of a draw. There was a nerve-wracking period when they looked better than us and were all over us before the second goal.

Gomis gave our defence several problems in the reverse fixture. Luckily he was wasteful.

Came in here to basically touch on the exact same thing.

If Cahill starts he will be picked on again, Gomis was in beast mode that game and probably should've scored 2.

Usually I would adopt the old "if it ain't broke don't fix it" stance but that first half at home against a weakened Newcastle scared the shit out of me.

Forced change is probably Luis for Azpi since he hurt his groin, Cech should keep his place because in my eyes he was MOTM for his work in the 1st half.

Oscar still looks off the pace and should probably be dropped despite having a goal and assist. I'd give Ramires a run out from the start and look to take Sigurdsson out of the game. 4-3-3...

I feel Zouma has to start. We have 3 cup games after this game. 2 against the scousers and the fa cup game. This Will give him a 5 game run in the team and give terry and cahill little breathers. It will be a good way to evaluate his progression same goes for Luis and Remy. My team for swansea

cech

bane Zouma Terry Luis

matic

Ramires Fabregas

Borges Costa hazard.

I highly doubt jose will start zouma and luis in the same game. So expect cahill to play if luis plays and Zouma if dave plays.
