warnie_666 1,081
Hmm...so..Ancellotti has made his stand clear so has panderelli but the silence from Spalleti is deafening. When asked about the link up, he said I dont want to talk about it. Loooks like he is close to becoming our new manager. Also, Galliani knows who we are planning to employ as our new manager. To a question from a reporter he said, I am not going to tell you if the new manager for Chelsea is an italian. Which means, we already have almost struck a deal, only the unveileing is due. Fulham Broadway 17,363
Dont think it will be an Italian. All the silence , the sanctioning of Bosingwa, I think it's safe to say the new manager of Chelsea after the Euros will be....... Scolari
bombayblue™ 55
The sacking of Ten Cate would suggest that the club has spoken to potential manager(s) and that he was not someone they wanted to keep. So again, why the delay? There are a lot of things that are not adding up in this chase for a manager and a lot of things that are making us look rather silly. May be cos the manger is tied up somewhere(Read EURO 08) and he doesn't wanna attract attention or affect the team or the players.. add to that what greg has said.. Dont think it will be an Italian. All the silence , the sanctioning of Bosingwa, I think it's safe to say the new manager of Chelsea after the Euros will be....... Scolari and i think scolari is worth putting 100 quid on
BlueLion. 21,491
Agreed. Getting Scolari would see us with a good chance of signing Quaresma whom I know is attracting the attention of one or two of our members.
EskWeston 696
Well now the Euros are on the roumers have gone a bit quiet, but all the stories now are talking about Scolari! With some reports even suggesting that we already have an agreement in place with him. Scolari is clearly a very good manager, but his lack of managment at club level in Europe is the only negative point surrounding him.. nikno 1
Zico's now apparently in the frame to be our manager too, according to Sky Sports.

DavidEU 2,023
Scolari and Moutinho, Veloso and Quaresma please.
Laylabelle 9,539
All depends me thinks. It Portugal win Euro 2008 then they're not exactly gana want Scolari to go with World Cup coming etc
BlueLion. 21,491
I'm getting concerned about the managerial position now. Very concerned. People keep turning us down, regardless of what the reports are saying.
misschief 24
I wouldnt trust Scolari, seems to me he's just keeping us hanging anyway - similar situation to England - and look who they ended up with once Scolari messed them about then backed out. Stamford 3
Scolari and Moutinho, Veloso and Quaresma please. I'd settle for that mate.

I've a feeling the deals done though -but everyone has to be tightlipped till the Euros are done. Chelseas staement couple of weeks ago ''We're extremelyhappy with the way our search is progressing'' implies they've got their man ? Also Corals wouldnt take my bet on him yesterday (that could be just because they think I'm a cunt though) PS Why the total silence over the Special Needs One ? How come all the top teams, Real, ManUtd, Bayern, AC etc haven't been headhunting Grant ?
EskWeston 696
With Kenyon now on holiday it does all tend to point at the fact that the new manager has been decided on, but again the total silence and secrecy surrounding this makes it so uncertain to know what could be actually happening. Is it done? Are we still interviewing? - who knows.
Fulham Broadway 17,363
If it is Filthy Phil , the silence would be expected, so as not to disrupt his Euro players.

Absolutely, but the press would have us believe that the club have taken a step back after being snubbed by Ancelotti and are carefully considering our options.... I think it is more likely that it will be Scolari now than anyone else.

The press will stick the knife in to CFC any chance they get -from making the club look stupid, greedy , or even ''foolish'' to offload 'sack 'o shit' Grant.... Are you sure it isn't because they have cut you off due to addiction??? The press are having a field day with this, the silence from CFC helps it massively. I am sure they don't care though, especially if they have got their man already. I am not convinced Scolari is the best man for the job for a few different reasons, but he is a very very good manager and will no doubt have us playing some good football. Fulham Broadway 17,363
Lol, could be -just said they werent taking any more cash on Scolari. He might ensure Carvalhos future -and the Boswinga thing points to him having an input. Fucking hope its not Hiddink -he looked as if he was in a Prozac coma last night

Fucking hope its not Hiddink -he looked as if he was in a Prozac coma last night Well it would certainly be interesting if Scolari did have an input in the Bosingwa deal, considering how long ago now it was we signed him.... could we have it dealt with THAT long ago? Of course it is possible considering Scolari is involved with the Euros, he and us would want it kept quiet until after! Also roumer circulating that Zico, having just left his club is going to be Scolari's number 2! Never really fancied Hiddink.....
