He doesn't look good because he doesn't have anyone to create for.. Balotelli is shit, Lambert can't get a game, and Borini is shit, and Sturridge is injured. What's he supposed to do?

Juan Mata had fernando torres the year he had the best stats in europe for a playmaker.

Liverpool is aka spam through ball team. AKA stat pad team

Yes.. but Mata could pass to Lampard, Hazard, Oscar, Ramires etc. whereas Sterling has an injured Lallana, Markovich (he's shit), and Balotelli who's also shit. Gerrard is the only good finisher that's fit right now

Marković played very good in Madrid, and his last season in Benfica was remarkable. I think he's a very good buy for liverpool (maybe only good one, besides lallana) this year. He's only 20 with a great potential.

Balo is not shit. Balo for a cf is the most skilled young CF in the world. Maybe hes attitude is shit and his workrate.

Also, im pretty sure people on this board though llalana/markovich/coutinho was better than oscar.....

Fact is Liverpool is a throughball spamming team. Daniel has fantastic pace and Suarez ran all day. Those 2 made the ams stats looks very good.

So? What relevance does a 24 year old playing in a far better team have to a 19 year old playing in an inferior one?

Why can't the people who call Sterling overrated come up with the names of some better players of that age right now in England?

chelsea 2 seasons ago had rambo-lampard/mikel with young kids oscar, hazard and moses along with torres and was a game away from not qualifying to champs league....

OXLADE CHAMBERLIN is better than STERLING....

OXalde Chamberlin is england's best young player, just like thiago and gundogan, injuries make people forget easily their immense quality.

There aren't very many, I can see why some people would perhaps think hes a bit overrated but he's hardly vastly overrated. Hes definitely the best English player of that U23 age group along with Ross Barkley and Jack Wilshere if he still falls into that group.

Barkley and Sterling... both better. No doubts about it, although Oxlade-Chamberlain is certainly a talented player wouldn't say hes as good as those two.

And Liverpool in 14-15 are even worse than that Chelsea team, I'm sure you'll agree.

Ox is also a couple of years older. Next.

You must of not watch oxlade chamberlin at arsenal-southampton.

Ox is better than Sterling at everything besides dribbling..... Is it really his fault that arsenal's phsyio team doesnt know how to do their jobs.

Lol so your now saying that Arsenals physios are at fault for him not kicking on as much when hes been fit as well? Remember his first year for Arsenal, he only kicked on the second half of the season and the year after he was very much pretty poor and also injured a lot. So your telling me you watched Oxlade-Chamberlain in League 1 with Southampton? I doubt that very much mate. Sterling has gone from strength to strength under Rodgers since making his debut vs City, Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn't improved as much as Sterling has.

Its the phsysio fault that arsenal is half injured, with ox being one of them.....

Ramsey, wilshere, arteta, ozil, ox, walcott, giroud...Somehow, arsenal seems to get everyone injured...

Please tell me what sterling is better than ox at besides dribbling?

Hes just an all round better footballer, better football intelligence, tactically better, dribbling and probably his final ball as well.

WHAT. WHat. whAT

Oxlade Chamberlin is a better overall player... Maybe you dont understand the difference with roles. Rodges give Sterling the greenlight to do whatever, wenger on the other hand didnt even give ozil the green light to play his game, let alone oxalde chamblerin. How is sterling smarter and tactically better than Ox? Sterling is a quote on quote winger, yet oxlade chamberlin is the one that actually plays like a prototypical winger provided crosses and width.

When your the main man of a team, your stats will always be good. Ask Juan Mata about stats... When your not, lets see how good you can put up them stats.

It's mind boggling that people cant see that rodgers gave him the green light and not coutinho, which is one huge reason for coutinho's inconsistency.

Out of Sterling topic, I have to disagree with this.

Please read :

One problem with such a question is that the very processes of so many injuries are so fluid and come with so many factors. Much can influence one strain, from the number of recent games played, to the angle of contact.

That makes discussion of the issue hugely complicated, and dependent on a certain amount of conjecture. From talking to those around the club, a series of different theories are put forward. One former player is privately much more critical of the Arsenal approaches than many of his old teammates. He has told representatives that the injury prevention programme was simply not up to the standard of his national team. He also maintained that was not an isolated opinion among the squad.

Another potential issue put forward focused on the recovery period after injuries. One source stated that returning players are moved from working with the physio to working with the fitness coach rather quickly. This is notable because of the different type of work involved.

Representatives of some squad members have also privately complained that there is a "hastiness" in putting recovering players back in the match squad, partially because the squad is often stretched, so the problem may even perpetuate itself.

Many of the theories actually revolve around another recurring theme: whether the manager has stayed as close to the modern trends of the game as he might have.

Former Arsenal player Stewart Robson has been a regular critic of Wenger, and last year alluded to a regular complaint in football science circles. "I met one of the members of Arsenal's sports science department and he said he told Arsene Wenger on many occasions that 'you are working the players too hard' and Wenger took no notice," Robson told ESPN FC. On the other side, some sources have stated Wenger prefers his players to train with the ball as much as possible, and isn't so interested in weights and strength work as others might be.

Dutch physio Raymond Verheijen has been the most vocal critic of Arsenal's conditioning, and has boiled it down most brutally. "When Arsene Wenger came to Britain in the mid-'90s his training methods were revolutionary," Verheijen said. "But the problem with revolutionary people is that they're only revolutionary once in their life, so 20 years on they become average. And then they become prehistoric."

Out of all of this debate and so many alternate views, one thing is at least certain. Wenger is well aware there is a problem that must be fixed, and has at least taken the initial steps in bringing Arsenal up to speed.

American fitness specialist Shad Forsythe was recruited from the German World Cup-winning squad in July 2014 and sources said the manager has been "excited" about his arrival. Millions have also been spent on the sports science department.

That does not mean any change will be instant. The club are continuing to investigate, and will then likely have to adjust to any new approaches after that. This will be a long-term process. So far, the changes have been small. Arsenal are tweaking the workload on players in the build-up to games, and subs are now warming up right through matches, rather than just before they come on.

Wenger will hope all of this gradually builds up to a big transformation, and a radical reduction in the rate of injuries. Arsenal need it.

I would say it is basically because of one man. Their core problem is Wenger.

Jesus man I don't know how to respond to all that bullshit about green lights or whatever but I'll try.... When Rodgers promoted Sterling into his first 11 he didn't let him do whatever he wanted, he had strict tactical roles to do, tracking back, pressing high up the park, sitting spare and basically marking space if his full back was inside following a player. He was hardly the main man at Liverpool and I still don't think he is, Suarez was the main man last season without a doubt, Gerrard is perhaps still more of the main man this year. Sterlings earned that role because of his improvement and quality since playing against City 2 seasons ago or whatever year it was he made his debut under Rodgers.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has hardly matched any of Sterlings performances or stats from the last 2 years when he wasn't even the main man so are you gonna tell me hes better because he scored 10 goals in League 1 with Southampton or claim that he is better than Sterling even though he's struggled with injuries and consistency at Arsenal?

Sterling got that role because his competition was Moses, Coutinho, alberto and the other spainard.

Ox competition at arsenal is wilshere, welback, ramsey, ozil, alexis, walcott, cazolra. You see the difference?

No not really. Given Ozil and Cazorla are number 10s for Arsenal as are Coutinho and Alberto for Liverpool. Other than Sanchez, who is the only great player in that selection of wide players he should easily be competing to be a regular there and if not a regular at least someone who gets subbed on regularly. Sterling got that green light role or whatever you say it is due to performances where he obviously delivered, Oxlade-Chamberlain very much could do something similar but he hasn't and he isn't at the same level as Sterling but obviously you know you have your opinion and I have mines.
