oxfordblues 299
Its fucking great news and made my weekend despite the weather. Some of the media 'pundits' saying Chelsea FC have made a mistake etc, because Grant 'led us' , I mean for fucks sake 'led us' ??. -the bloke has been a total irrelevance since he wormed himself alongside Gaydemark at Pompey putting cones and bibs out, sucked up to Abramovich and instigated Mourinhos departure. No qualifications, tactically clueless, he inherited Chelsea Rolls Royce FC. -but he's got what he wanted -the best part of £10 million quid from Chelsea FC. OK you've got your dosh now fuck off. As CM said -lets see how much in demand clubs are for his 'skills' ? . Right now you can guarantee he, and his agent, are looking for the most high profile club they can , where he can slide in, where theres a strong backroom technical squad so he can do fuck all. In the history of Chelsea annuls -he's about the same, even worse than Ian Porterfield. I'm really happy hes gone -but still angry that for eight months -if we'd had anyone with any qualifications, and tactical knowhow, with that squad -it would have meant several pieces of silverware this season for Chelsea FC. changingman2000 35
True FB, and Tommy Docherty on Sky Sports last night, made himself sound like a bitter and twisted old cunt. Fuck off Grant, Welling Utd await
MikeCFC 45
I nearly fell off my chair when i heard the news of Grant's sacking I've had to cringe at some press reports this morning.Everyone knew this was on the cards, and as misschief said,Grant should'nt of been offered the job in the first place. I wonder how many clubs will be offering their services to Grant in the summer? As for the new manager.I doubt we'll wait till the end of Euro 2008,so we can rule out Hiddink and Scolari. We'd all love Jose to return, but only the deluded will believe in that happening. My choice would be Mark Hughes. Kenyon's choice will be his mate Sven.Rijkaard is another popular choice, but our squad does not suit his expansive style of play and we would have to make more big money signing's,which is not really needed. As for Grant. This is football.get over it.
lazypet 0
Finally, he's gone. Great news. Never really liked him, and did not understand a lot of his decisions, as I'm still of the opinion that he should have let Shevchenko on the pitch, and not Belleti - though he scored his penalty. Now, (imo) the best case would be if Jose returns, though this would mean that we would keep Drogba at the bridge. But Lampard would stasy either, and that'd be truely great. Rejkaard was really succesful at Barca, and I being the manager of Chelsea would suit him well, as well as it would suit Laudrup, but he has the less experience, but why not give him a try? And, to all of those, who are speaking of a Mourinho return as if this never could happen: Klinsmann became the manager of munich, which no one had on his screen, so let's hope! (you have to excuse my bad english. haven't wrote a lot in english after leaving school a year ago! )
kbchel 2
seriously come to think of the penalty its a tactical mistake....should have let ballack hit it.... usually coaches put their best penalty taker for first and last........ terry shud take the 3rd one....less pressure.....and lamps to hit the first
BlueLion. 21,491
To be honest you can't blame him for the order of the penalties. Its whoever is up for it, ultimately.

The order went like this:Ballack,Lampard,Belletti,A Cole,JT,Anelka(sudden death)
BlueLion. 21,491
I don't think he will, if we bring in a top manager he will want to bring his own backroom staff in.

kbchel 2
by the way who is responsible for the signing for bosingwa and the bid for robinho????
terry26 6
didn't really come as too much of a surprise when i heard it this morning i thank him for what he's done but really he was never going to be the long term replacement for Jose
MikeCFC 45
by the way who is responsible for the signing for bosingwa and the bid for robinho????I'll hazzard a guess that Arnessen is behind Bosingwa's signing, while Kenyon/Zahavi might be behind the Robinho rumours. Ollie 4,400
And the malasians will be happy now too as the jew wont be there for our tour oh and btw Kalou's penalty was the best and shouldve been in the first 5 really but the order strangely was proved right in a way. I mean....they all scored except terry's unfortunate slip and it hit the post putting VDS completely the wrong way! As for a new manager, i hope its Sparky, i really do. He's my ultimate number one choice and has been for fukin ages. He wont have slackers, he'll get everything out of every single one of the players and the shit will be dumped. Every game, every player will give 100% and he wont be scared to drop the under performing whoever they are, however high profile they are. THATS WHAT WE NEED! Probs wont happen tho because hes only managed Blackburn and Wales. Even tho he's played for Chelsea, Man Utd, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Can always hope tho as we are managerless and hes always being linked away from Ewood.
