Damn, this could even become a political affair knowing how much foreign policy is behind the Chinese bid in becoming a global footballing superpower. Putin is too afraid of getting the Chinese upset at this moment in time so he might give his buddy Roman a call in order to persuade him to sell Costa if the Chinese and Costa are demanding it. This could be the big move the Chinese have been looking for in terms of getting a world-class player and gaining some serious recognition for their league. It might potentially change the sport forever.

For the sake of our season and European football in general, let's hope it's just poor journalism.

With a little research I found Costa in a training video yesterday. The reports all say he hasn't been training for half a week. I'm hoping the press is just late on this one and it's already been resolved.

Yeah but considering it's been reported by Sky, BBC, Guardian, Telegraph etc, it does feel like there's some truth to the story. Do wonder how they all managed to find out about it though. Did someone from the club leak the story to the press?
