I'm sorry but this money that everyone says is so difficult to turn down is a little absurd, he's not exactly a poor person is he? If an offer came in from Real Madrid, Barca or even his beloved Athletico I'd be like yeah fair enough I see the appeal, but for heaven's sake China? I guess it depends on whether a player sees football as a money making career, or something to leave a lasting legacy because let's be honest, who gives a fuck if he bangs them in in China?

Conte almost attacked Buffon when he managed Juventus because even before they won the Serie A Buffon dared to ask Conte about player win bonuses.

Damn, this could even become a political affair knowing how much foreign policy is behind the Chinese bid in becoming a global footballing superpower. Putin is too afraid of getting the Chinese upset at this moment in time so he might give his buddy Roman a call in order to persuade him to sell Costa if the Chinese and Costa are demanding it. This could be the big move the Chinese have been looking for in terms of getting a world-class player and gaining some serious recognition for their league. It might potentially change the sport forever.

For the sake of our season and European football in general, let's hope it's just poor journalism.

With a little research I found Costa in a training video yesterday. The reports all say he hasn't been training for half a week. I'm hoping the press is just late on this one and it's already been resolved.
