Barbara 15,149
then la liga is more diffcult lol . he scores more in BPL but it's maybe because he got Fabregas with him lolwell he's in an ascending curve... regardless of where he plays, one could only expect his current season to be even better than the last one as he improved considerably from 12/13 to 13/14. Then there's the fact he thrives in a physical style (which is why I think he'll never fit in completely for Spain, too much tiki taka BS for him flourish) so although AM is physical, La Liga isn't. So many of those physical duels would have be called fouls there and play would be stopped and as you said, here he has FÃ bregas. Atletico didn't have someone nearly as good in terms of vision... it's a combination of facts... iseah100

Atlas Lion 1,223
Suarez is unpredictable as hell. Take his crazyness away and he is best striker in the world. But he is what he is.Rvp and Aguero get injured often, falcao and cavani never reached what was expected and Ibra is ghost in big games.Strikers like Henry, Drogba, Van Nistelrooy, Raul, Ronaldo are what world class striker is all about. When the shit got real, they did the job. Not spending half season injured or playing in france. And they didnt do it for one or two seasons, but their entire career.I think football in general become much more advanced and tactical, hence why we dont see as great CBs and strikers nowdays as we saw in past. Messi and Ronaldo are exceptions here.Agree with the majority of it. However, one major flaw for Henry was his bottleness in finals. Think someone threw a stat at me that he's played in 11 finals and scored 0 goals.
iseah100 5,612
Costa> Aguero>FalcaoRVP is past it. Suarez is the best in the world, he may rival Ronaldo & Messi for the Balon D'or. Also, No mention of Hugo Sanchez? Surely he's one of the top 15-20 of all time? 5 La Liga titles5 Pichichi's1 Euro Golden Boot?

Daniel1980 1,425
I feel sorry for him, I really do. Though it doesn't really excuse that he was poor. He wasted a few good chances(even the one created by Cesc). Must be a confidence thing. zolayes

He wasted a few good chances(even the ones created by Cesc). Must be confidence thing. Apart from the header which was difficult to direct at goal, he had no clear cut chances, only half chances. Spain were rubbish for 90 mins with their useless sideway passing and slow build-up play. zolayes, kellzfresh and Barbara

He also had a few good opportunities to score after corner kicks. He could have done better. Maybe he was just unlucky, but I think he also lacks confidence when he plays for Spain after all the criticism he got. And this game won't help his confidence either. But it's not even the chances wasted--he wasn't the only one who wasted chances. Costa is a poor fit for this Spain, IMO. If he plays great for Chelsea, it doesn't mean he'll play great for a possession-based slow build-up team. Tbh, they looked a lot smoother without Costa when he missed the game against Macedonia. Spain NT should either change the way they play (don't think Del Bosque has the guts to do it, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong) or don't play Costa at all. lionsden 4,689
His place in the Spanish team is still pretty safe for now as He's still their best striker and Del Bosque has proven to be very loyal to players he rates highly. But if the pressure and calls to drop him becomes pronounced by the Spanish media and fans who already believes he's a mismatch, I could him getting dropped and Del Bosque switching back to Fabregas as a false 9. Bir_CFC 3,455
With all the talent Spain has, there really isn't an excuse for Del Bosque, is there? He must be sacked. Does anyone who follows the Spain national team, tell me why he hasn't been sacked?
BlueLyon 9,359
Probably Paco will replace him sooner or later. Despite Costa is top scorer; he doesnt fit their system. I think he didnt even score for spain yet, meanwhile Alcacer did few times already in less games. Imo Del Bosque will bench him if he wont start scoring soon, but eventualy Costa will give his share to Spain too. If not soon then at age 29 or sth. iseah100 5,612
Fuck Spain. They should change their style to suit their star striker. If not, at least he'll be fit for us.
RoyalBlues 4,050
They should sign either Mourinho or Simeone as their manager to fully utilized Costa
