Stats 7,142
No break. Been confirmed as a fresh wound. Whew! Bad news he probably will make it for us but good news is he may be the world class striker we capture for the summer. Had it been a break, all of a sudden the search for a striker goes into chaos again.
petr.breu 1,618
He'll be OK...Diego Simeone's head of press @Pepepasques re: Diego Costa: "Don't worry guys, they just need to fix the post" !
duo11bluecl 207
Wasn't Rooney suffered a similar thing last season and out for like 1 month? Admittedly he was kicked and not hit by the post.

Toli 977
if he has a serious injury, we are really f-ed in terms of summer transfers. falcao, now him. there are literally no strikers available anymore...edit: too late. so its only a cut, good

Cosmin 2,484
Let's just hope he's out until after our Champions League games. Then he can come back, help them win La Liga, and then join us, the Champions League winners

Oscar 441
I think one big difference between costa vs torres, aguero, forlan and falcao was costa played for the team and scores, while as the other ones atletico fed them all game... A huge reason why atletico has been very good this season.

BloodIsBlue 291
I was once snowboarding down a track which is meant for mountain biking but in the winter it ices over and becomes this steep winging mini-bobsledding track (people are strictly forbidden from skiing or snowboarding in this area BTW). I went into this sharp turn too fast and it shot me out about 2.5m into the air and my shin smashed directly into a tree. I thought I broke my tibia but I was fine, hurt like a bitch didn't get on the snowboard again that day. Id say It was at least 20x as bad as what happened to Costa, but you never know when a bone will break.

I thought his buy-out clause was lower than the 60 million Euros mentioned in that article.
