RoyalBlues 4,050
No way Fabregas will be the next captain after Terry.
Viper22 2,418
Never ever ever thought I'd even consider this man as our captain even 1 year ago. How times change eh? He's the best candidate for the job on leadership qualities and he's definitely shown his passionate willingness to fight for the club already. I think he would be a great shout for our next captain, forget short term, Cesc to take over when JT leaves, as long as JT himself and Jose think he's up to the job. If they think he is then he is. Viper22 2,418
Also, let's not forget just how much making him our captain would piss off arsenal fans. Pissing off gooners is always a good idea. If they think he is then he is.He's already the manager's favourite in just 4 months time. Goes to show how much of a character he is. I think it will be a bold decision from Jose if he overlooks Cahill and give Cesc the armband when Terry decides to call it a day. I completely trust Jose to make the right decision, then. Fernando 6,585
I'm in the middle about making him a captain if it where ever to come to that. He's still a gooner at heart and that you can't forget. kellzfresh and Viper22
iseah100 5,612
If we win the CL or PL then he should be our next capitan. Why not Costa?
CHOULO19 24,332
If we win the CL or PL then he should be our next capitan. Why not Costa?Because he still can't speak a single word of English. Nike

Daniel1980 1,425
I don't believe he's a gooner at heart, tbh--for the same reasons many Arsenal fans don't believe that. He was Arsenal's Captain and they made him the player he is, so understandably, he's fond of them and will always say nice things about Arsenal, but I don't believe he's really a gooner at heart. A gooner at heart wouldn't leave Goonerland, no matter what. A gooner at heart would never join another London top club if he has other options, and Cesc admitted himself he had 3 other options only in England. A gooner at heart would not celebrate the goal he created against Arsenal. If anything, he's a Barcelona fan at heart.Cesc looks very committed to us and it's been only 4 months, so I don't really think it would be an issue by the time we'll have to choose the next captain.
