Jype 6,398
Don't see nothing wrong. Maybe they changed it afterwards?Yeah they changed it, but at least yesterday the Spanish and Catalan versions still had the low parting shots they've now removed from the English one. bababoom 4,478
So Wenger sees him as a number 10, in his last few years at Arsneal he did play there tbh, judging by Jose's comments today he wants Cesc to play deeper for us.

That's where he should play. I think this move will revitalize him. He will be a very key player for us and that faith Mou puts in him will push him. bababoom
Popular Post! Jase 43,479 Posted June 15, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 15, 2014 http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/15/cesc-fabregas-arsene-wenger-arsenal-chelsea?CMP=twt_guCesc Fábregas has admitted that he did not join Arsenal from Barcelona because Arsène Wenger had no place for him.The Catalan midfielder, who signed for Chelsea for £27m, said that a clause in his contract gave Arsenal first refusal and that he spoke to Wenger but that in the end the manager decided not to proceed because Mesut Özil now occupies Fàbregas’s position. It was then that José Mourinho convinced him to join Chelsea ahead of the “many” other options he had in the Premier League.“When I decided that my time at Barcelona had ended, I looked for the best option for me,” Fábregas explained. “Arsenal was the first option, for contractual reasons. There was a clause that gave them the right to decide. We spoke to Wenger and he said that the space was very well filled by Mesut Özil and it was hard to find a place for both of us in the team.”“I wanted to go back to the Premier League and I had to think about what my options were then [once Arsenal had said no],” Fàbregas continued. “I had many very good offers, the logical options. I spoke to Jose Mourinho and he told me that he wanted me there. He convinced me very, very quickly. He told me what I wanted to hear; he won me over and convinced me. It was very quick. I am very happy, very satisfied and I think it will all go phenomenally well." Madmax, kellzfresh, Barbara and 4 others
Pizy 18,907
I think he'll be out for scalps next season. To prove everyone wrong. He's going to be one of the 5 best players in the league. Considering Cesc's history with Jose, he wouldn't have signed with Chelsea if he wasn't 100% sure that the team's manager really wanted him. Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted June 15, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 15, 2014 Nice save. All is well as long as he performs. Can't wait for next season. It might fire up the 'rivalry' between Mou and Arsene even longer.Ozil had his best seasons under Mou, with Arsene he's a ghost of himself. Then Arsene lets go of Cesc because he doesn't believe he can play both him and Ozil. Then Mourinho moves Cesc to a position that has nothing to do with #10 - where Ozil plays - and he has a hell of season, Arsene will look even more the clown than he is.I can't wait. It's like teasing your little brother. You make them think that they stand a chance leading up to the match and then blow them off the pitch when the time comes. Can't wait for the annual Arsenal injury crisis as well as the annual Wenger Out! twitter campaign. Then let's see if he "didn't need" Cesc. Barbara

He can play both which I predict was a factor in Jose wanting him here. I think he'll mostly be used in the pivot but will play in the number 10 role in certain games for tactical purposes.I wonder what Mourinho actually says to convince all these players he rings!"Hi. This is Jose Mourinho speaking."That should do it. iseah100, bababoom, The Chels and 7 others
BleedsBlue 1,549
I believe he chose to join Chelsea mainly because of United's failure to achieve CL football. Yes Jose must have played a big part in getting him here but then again not much convincing was really needed as we were the best remaining option.Anyways both parties have benefitted from this deal. Chelsea needed a player of his calibre and Fabregas wanted a top premier league club where he'd get to play more often. So +1 Moyes!
Joker10 946
Good stuff, that means he was bought for a cm role and not to replace Oscar. However I still don't see Oscar and fabregas at the same time when playing big teams. Ramires will have to be in there for a 3 man midfielder.Against West ham and those lots, go all out attack! When did we adapted to this small team mentality? iseah100 and The Rising Sun
