The Ancelotti Thread

Jose wasn't "sacked" because of his lack of trophies... Florentino Perez actually wanted to keep him. He still holds him in very high regard.

Well, I am 99% sure if he won a trophy in his third year, he would never have been sacked, no matter what Casillas thinks. Florentino may still have a soft spot for him, but he does not decide everything. The pressure from other board members is immense.

Florentino Perez does what he wants tbh. There were even rumours that he approached Jose very recently to see if he would come back. Jose said no.

He needs to hire someone. He knows the best suited person is José. He should be checking on Nuno Espirito Santos. This guy has Valencia playing some nice football, but then, he aint no big name. As someone said, Real Madrid are really running out of managers.

Pellegrini surely isn't returning to Real. Impossible.

Pellegrini failed badly at Madrid. They don*t want him back, that's for sure!

I agree with you.

I can see Benitez getting the job, he is a madridista and coached one of the youth teams in the past.

Can he get the job done? I don't know because i don't trust Benitez, in my opinion he is overrated....

In any case Benitez likes the competion in the UCL, that would be one hell of a match against Jose Mourinho, lol.

BeIN journalist (usually very reliable) saying that Carlo will not accept Galliani's offer and Rafa will be announced as new Real manger after the last game in Italy (and that Khediera is a Juve player pending medical, if anyone cares).

Can't remember in which thread but I predicted Carlo to get the sack and Benitez to replace him back in Feb or March. Does that make me a reliable journo now? :D

Here's an interesting stat:

Real Sociedad have picked up more points against the top 4 in La Liga this season (10) than Carlo Ancelotti has in two seasons against the top 4 (9).
