You're not telling me anything I don't know, I know there are a lot of games. This is about getting the best out of our best players. To me if you play Mata on the right with Oscar in Frank's role in a 4-3-3 we would be a very dangerous team... Just my opinion not based on anything I've seen on the pitch since we haven't done it

wasn't an exact 4-3-3. Was still a 4-2-3-1 with a three player rotating profile.

I don't know if anyone was, but that's not the point I'm arguing so I'm not sure why you're bringing it up.

I brought it up because you said he disappeared in games and how bad he looked. You can say that about virtually every player on our squad the fact is Mata was our most consistent.

I would change almost all the team, I think we can rest at least Oscar, Lampard and Ramires. We have a great team and this is not the more important game we have.

Even if we lose we have an easy game at home after this.

THe League is more important right now then the Champions League.

As Sebastien had said on twitter, a lopsided 4-2-3-1. I don't think you would call the formation we played against Schalke a 4-3-3. Calling it a 4-3-3 directly is a layman's term. Hugely different when you look at particular tactical duties. If you aren't going to call it 4-2-3-1, then 4-3-2-1 at best. Never a 4-3-3 when you have Eto'o drifting sideways to help Hazard make lateral runs and causing overloads in the middle with the help of Oscar.

Also in a 4-3-3, Lampard and Ramires wouldn't have to take up central positions. They were often seen covering up in Mikel's zone, with Mikel either higher up or acting as a cover for the CB's.

I think Jose will continue with the same plan we used on Saturday. Wonder how that will work out for us at home, when teams play more defensive and disciplinded.

Gives it away when he says 'getting the ball out of pressure zones' . You can't even do that when playing with wingers or interiores .

No one's calling you an idiot, or saying that what I or he said is the best opinion ever. Just clarifying the difference between roles in a 4-3-3 are, and the roles played by Mikel, Lampard and Ramires particularly are. Just cause those 3 drop deep doesn't really equate to a 4-3-3. a modern misconception.

I have felling that Jose will drop Lampard, Eto and Oscar.

Eto'o I feel is a definite but Lamps and Oscar... I don't know if we can take both players who scored on the weekend out in a game that means so much. Too much chopping and changing and you'll lose the cohesiveness of the unit

Actually a lot of people did, but sadly none of them in this forum, expect Seb probably. Not derailing at all. I found the point over here, and was just trying to get across my view.

Nope. Don't think he can in Oscar's role. Ramires's role maybe yes, but definitely not Oscar's. Juan has no previous experience in rotating positions with two other midfielders. You need a bit of work-rate for that too. Maybe if he's adapted, then a slight yes.
