DAFUQ?

too small, too slow, no Chelsea level. Everytime i have seen him he got destroyed which is quite strange considering he plays for Porto and Argentina.

certainly not too slow and he is 6ft. but yes we could do better

Good Defender, he would be a good signing! certainly better than Cahill.

Well, if I may. Otamendi could pave the way for Luiz to leave the club, I read.

He was even compared to Ivanovic in the past.

Porto agreed in principal to sell Otamendi to Chelsea.

why not mangala? atleast he is a good defender. or just buy-back bruma if we want a 4th CB. otamendi is a poor buy.

Is he ? Not according to Chelsea´s scouting report. I am also certain Jose knows about him a lot. Don´t you trust Jose anymore ?

i will trust him with my last breath too dude.

but here i was stating my opinion about otamendi about what i have seen of him. what and how jose intends to do and use him is an utterly different case.

for eg- schurlle. we spent 18mil on him but was he the best winger available with the likes of di maria being unsettled at RM. but it is not always so linear. its how a manager wants to use the player.

OK since you trust Jose, Otamendi must be what the doc had ordered, then.

Personally, I do not know much about this player. Having said that, I am not sure about Jose´s dealings, anymore.

During the short tenure Jose has been around, there were some questionable loans, not to my liking.

loanS??? come on... it was just one loan. :) and lets give him the benefit of the doubt here. we were not able to find a loan for ba. only one that was, was arsenal, and with ozil already there, ba would have been a decent acquisition. i mean look at them now. giroud is in top form but when he has his lean patch, the next best thing they have got is SIR NICKLAS BENDTNER. giving them ba would have been suicidal.

plus keeping 4 strikers for a definite 1 striker play would not be very good too and would have limited lukaku's oppurtunities to bare minimum.

now, dont get me wrong. i too feel that lukaku is the best striker of the 4 we have, but it was a decision that had to be made. something had to be sacrificed, and unfortunately it was lukaku.

also except for that mou's "dealings" in the transfer market and with the players have been good. look at mata. mou definitely has got inside mata's head, and mata is playing way more solidly than he has in 2 years (by solidly, i mean defensively).

Let me try the other way. Jose pursued Rooney, despite knowing manures won´t sell = waste of time.

Did he want to unload BA ? Most likely, he did. Therefore, should have looked for a club much earlier for him.

Had he kept Lukaku, no Eoto´o was needed.

As for Mata. Jose has done nothing to better Mata. Even Mata said it. Just benched him. Now, Mata showed him how wrong he was. These are my observations.

jose pursued rooney, hoping rooney himself will come out and put in a transfer request. (i remember jose saying the exact same thing after united game.) such a big transfer is not so easy to happen. we played all our cards, but simply could not force the issue with rooney. defo, not waste of time. we might still end up getting rooney next year for a cut-price (just one year left on his contract).

we had made it very clear that we wanted to unload ba. jose put his trust in a 20 year old boy to lead 10 men against the champions of europe, goes to show how much trust he had in lukaku and what he thought of ba. so u cant complain he dint try. moreover its the board's responsibility to quicken the pace of a transfer. for me jose made his call to the board known very early (remember even west ham wanted ba in mid-august). so there is no way u should blame jose for the ba-scenario. if u want to blame any1, it has to be the board.

was etoo needed? i dont think so. but that was jose's call. the jury is still out on it. and for chelsea's sake, lets hope he made the right call.

seriously??? when was the last time or for that matter anytime when u have seen mata stop a counter.

One bid for Rooney & we all saw, there was no point to go on. Somehow, Jose was blind, then.

Jose has a big say. Therefore, he could have kept Lukaku, easily. Made mistake here.

BA is Jose´s responsibility too. The guy is going nowhere with Chelsea now.

Mata has stopped counters before. The same old reliable Mata as he was & still is the best Chelsea player.

your points are the same as the previous post.

for rooney- there was no other WC striker available. cavani, falcao, lewa, rvp, aguero. only who was, was rooney and i have already given my view point on why it was not a waste of time, and that there was still a lot of point to pursue rooney. next year, we might let go off all the 3 strikers we have right now and still be in search for a WC striker. but who?? i dont see any1 except rooney coming for less than 40mil. but with rooney, with only 1 year left on his contract, and with chelsea being interested for more than a year, we might be able to snatch him.

do u actually think jose dint want lukaku. i mean why would a manager send out a 20-year old striker against bayern munich with just 10 men, if he dint have faith in him? or even why would jose let him take the all important last penalty??? that shows faith. but jose knew that lukaku with 3 other strikers would not get one-fourth of the time that he would now get at everton. hence he took the decision.

ba is jose's responsibility but i dont think jose personally makes phone-calls to clubs and agents. he had made it clear long before the deadline day that ba was not in his top 3 out of the crop of 4 strikers we had. but the board were unable to get the deals done. what can jose do then?

for me, mata's defensive liabilities have decreased exponentially. infact he is doing his job defensively as good as oscar, be it against swindon, tottenham and bucuresti. i mean compare this mata to the mata that played against basel. he gave away the ball which led to the corner, and dint fall back. he gets benched against fulham and then comes back with a vengence and a point to prove. maybe jose dint do anything to him, but if he can keep players motivated, then its good enough for me.

So much written, still so little said. My view is still the same, nothing has changed & nothing will.
