The Rising Sun 711
It is funny how somehow this forum has turned into the negativity show, with every signing being equated to disaster.Every player who is not Cavani or Falcao apparently is a shit signing.Eto and Willian are talented players who can compete with every player in our squad in their respective positions.Eto is still a great finisher and its not like his pace has fallen by leaps and bounds. If any player comes in, which improves our squad, whether for short term or long term, i dont understand why there is such negativity even before the player has kicked a ball.Chelsea prides itself on being winners, winning trophies, not like the Mighty Arsenal supporters who keep talking about how their wage structure is the best in Europe.Doesnt matter if Eto is being paid 5 mill or 7 mill for his 1/2 years here, if he helps us win things then it is a successful transfer.Torres is being paid big and is not really helping is win shit.He should be the one getting all the negativity, while eto should be seen as a signing that lifts the weight of our shoulders, the supporters, crying out to not see him as a first choice. Now Torres is not first choice. That is a win, for us and for Chelsea.Be positive, like we were with Torres for atleast a full year of his crap show.
Goemaere 131
Can't handle the level in my opnion I've been following anzhi since 2011. Madness to give a 7mil salary to a player like him. Dressroom atmosphere will surly become better because of things like that.

Toli 977
Goemaere - if you've followed them can you then tell me if he is still any good?his technique is good and his finishing skills too. but physically, he isnt at the level of inter/barca days anymore. but also, russian league is shit minus few teams. in the Europa League he wasnt that impressive at all. Maybe mou can fire him up for a few weeks but he is no where near his level at inter anymore.
The Mak 4,459
I think this means that Torres can kiss his World Cup spot goodbye. Not going to get anywhere near the amount of games like last season. I was hoping Mourinho would come in and bench him and that's exactly what happened, so that's a positive. Saldado (the penalty taker!) will probably nick his spot.
Muzchap 8,966
Wow - I love how this guy is written off already.... See what I don't get is that the Russian league is arguably like the French league, but Hazard can make it and Eto'o (who has won more than Hazard) cannot?32 is not over the hill - go watch Shearer and Sheringham at 32...With the right fitness plan and mental preparation - we will have a proven striker in our team. He will help Lukaku develop and hopefully show BA where he left his scoring boots... Can't we just be excited that we have a new player? I'll bookmark your post and remind you after he scores his first hatrick for us The thing is - ask ANY great player (well rely on a journo) and they all say playing with better team mates, makes you play better!Plus the vodka is good in Russia and the women even better - I imagine Eto'o was probably scoring off the pitch more than on... That won't happen in London Have a little faith in Mou, you think he'd bring in a washed up player with our current striker crisis?

Comment on my post after this season, if he scores 2 hattricks and no other goals in 50+ matches it's still a fail. I hope you/him prove(s) me wrong but i doubt it :/

bushman 2,043
Personally, I am excited to see anybody coming to Chelsea. Whether old, young, short, tall I take them all.A whopping 64m on six new players is the result of this summer. Who could complain ?
jonaaibosk 191
Why do people always piss and moan, about players we sign, before they actually see them play in a Chelsea shirt. I hope Eto'o scores for fun and shuts all the doom and gloomers right up.Seriously I begin to wonder if some of the posters on here are in a constant state of depression. I've deduced that there's a large proportion of our fans who are wanton malcontents who will live out their lives in a permanent state of anger and frustration
Shane 2,275
If his finishing is still there, thats all that matters. Our attacking midfield will put chances on a plate for him.If we were going to go for a cheap older striker this season though, I would have loved to have seen David Villa in a Chelsea shirt. Classy finisher.
