Strike 7,492
Good. We're a bit light in the youth striker department. Only Bamford and Lalkovic as far as I can recall.
coolhead23 1,147
These type of signings never seem to work out. I don't understand why these kids come to a club like Chelsea that young. Unless you're a Ronaldo or Messi then you're going to have to learn your trade at a smaller club like Eto'o did and many others. Seriously, mate. We are talking about a Top 10 Club, amazing sets of players both in the senior side and youth teams, great infrastructure surely among the best, good coaches at youth levels, playing in almost every competition not in only in England but also Europe ... What more can a young player can ask for specially when he is in his development phase.Us playing quite a few tournaments from this season and with less quality up front he would provide competitions for place up front. If he develop well that a bonus and another point in the scouting team's hat else he can always be sold out for profit. This would be a win-win situation for the clubI like what Chelsea is doing, the intention is to win things at every level which is really good. I dont see him go on loan right away rather more of a player to strengthen the youth side .. Thats my belief ... I hope he does well ... BlueLion. 21,491
In all seriousness, good luck to him. How long until he's farmed off to Vitesse?

The Skipper 20,609
vitesse/hamburg are really happy with this signing... He was signed for the U21, he's not going out on loan. They need a big striker.
Bosnian Blue 2,471
The bloke's in for mud wrestling I've spoken to a guy who lives in the same town and knows Stipe. He's shocked and stunned by this transfer, says hes got absolutely no clue how in the hell he signed for Chelsea. Says there is very little chance he will ever break through. Also the kid is apparently very cocky and arrogant, according to my guy. The day he was supposed to go to sign for Chelsea he was being told to buy a suit for when he comes to Stamford Bridge and he answered: "Meh, its cold in Russia." Another story. Stipe and his dad went to Zagreb, the kid was about to sign for Dinamo. Them two and Dinamo's sporting director went out to a fancy restaurant, and the director asked them what they wanted to drink. The old man said: "Just give us two pints."
haranr 485
Seriously! Anyone that can't appreciate these kind of signings is a fool (no offence)! Chelsea have been signing young high potential (also unknown) players for the past 5 years and I think that it's a great way. Lukaku, De Bruyne, Van Ginkel - They are all a result of this method. This guy can become really really good. He is so fucking tall

He is so fucking tallseriously!!!!! lukaku had 41 goals for anderlecht , and was one of the hottest properties. kdb - had manhandled our defenders for genk and had 17 goals plus 36 assists for them and you want to put this unknown striker in the same category as these players??also please dont confuse this signing with the likes of kdb, mvg, oscar, hazard signings. given that these guys were signed at the age of 20-21 but each of them was/is more than ready to be a part of our first team. Give me a break. This is the same method. Trying to buy young high poetinal players. Just like Lukaku. Maybe this guy will flop but that doesn't matter. We should still keep this method and sign young high poetinal players.
