decent but nothing too flashy. Sober play, short passes, low-risk. But adapts well to the speed of play and his short passing is accurate.

Well not really from one pre season game. Mata and Hazard are auto picks obviously. So its just about who we play on the right. Oscar/Schurrle/KDB. Oscar i think we should play central, but deeper alongside someone like de rossi if we sign him, and failing that someone like essien. I liked what i saw from KDB last season. And even in just a pointless pre season game, his delivery has been much better than what we have seen all last season from Oscar. And delivery isn't really game dependant as a good ball is a good ball. So he should be able to provide some width etc. Schurlle can still have a big role in the team, but he will have to earn his place as i think KDB outperformed him last season.

Either these defenders are pretty good or BA is very poor. Anyway, I think Lukaku looked a much bigger threat in the first half than Ba does now.

Kalas looked much more comfortable than Cahill. Kalas had better passing and positioning than Cahill. Kalas is better than Cahill. Cahill should be behind Kalas in the pecking order for that right central spot.
