No worries. :)

The Mata-Oscar case was different though. Remember when Mata left the club, there were members here who keep on saying "He's gone. Get over it!" just because others kept on discussing about him and the situation? Then a bit later, people were still talking about Mata in Oscar's thread and comparing the two and that was when I posted the similar thing. I do admit that I did this a few times but it was nothing more than a sarcastic remark since people keep on saying "Get over it!" but yet still talking about him. And it's been awhile now since I last posted such thing.

Also, don't get me wrong on the things that Schurrle, Oscar etc said about loving the club, want to stay here for many years etc. It's great to hear the players at the club say that and I like it but maybe I'm just being paranoid or skeptical, I don't believe players 100% (at least not immediately) when they say that. Like I said before, at times it just feels like a PR thing, to get on the good side of fans especially when they just join the club. Otherwise, I have no issues with it.

True. I thinks those words (and i'm speaking in general not only for Oscar particularly) need to be proven on the long run. Maybe it's a little bit cynical, but football is just a job after all. And this job involves being liked by the fans. What does loving the club you're playing really translates to? It's easy to say "i love the club" as long as you're in the starting XI, or wining trophies or being successful in general. Some say that if Mata loved the club he should wait patiently, be benched this season and try very hard to earn his place. Now, this in not entirely something that i agree about Mata but my point is if you love your club then you have to be willing to support it and trust it's people in rough times (of your's or the club's) like Lampard and JT have done some many times. I got little bit off topic so sry for that.

Oscar may be a PR thing, but I don't think Schurrle is.

I think Schurrle is very honest and the way he talks about us and the club always seems very sincere and true. It seems like he's speaking from his heart. There's an emphasis that seems gratuitous which makes me believe he means it. He hasn't changed his speech at all and he's saying those things since his first interview. Normally PR moves start later...

Oh the Oscar comment I meant you posted about a week ago. It's in his thread, I didn't even remember such discussions from when Mata left. I know he left some widows and I know it's hard for some people to cope with one of their fave players leaving the club - especially the way it happened - but I meant something much more recent, as I said, like a week or so ago when Oscar said he wants to stay as long as Lamps and Terry have been.

Would like to believe that's the case as well (his enthusiasm is infectious) but perhaps it will just take awhile for me to be won over such things. After all, am a grumpy old paranoid cat. :P

Oh that. I'll hold my hands up on that but again, was nothing more than attempt of joke or sarcasm (even if it's true anyway). Not everyone does the same anyway. ;)

I actually felt gutted for him Wednesday. He had been good for us this cl campaign and it had to be terrible for him not to get the nod after putting in great performances against PSG and Madrid last week.

Hopefully he gets the nod for the last two matches.
