The Ranieri Days

Ranieri signed Cech, Robben, Crespo, Lampard, Joe Cole, Veron, Makelele, Duff and Mutu.

Im not convinced the 2003 signing's were Ranieri's. We all know how cautious Roman is when it comes to giving a manager full control over transfers, so i can't for the life off me see why he would give it to a manager he has no intention of keeping.

Lets be fair to Jose now because that 07-08 season was unfair on him because he got no money and he could only sign shite like Sidwell if I remember correctly. SWP was a horrible signing but a lot of the shite jose bought was the rotten eggs he could only afford when he went on his rant... he never really wanted them !

We paid a lot of money (can't remember the exact figure now) for SWP, if Jose did not want him, he could have got a pretty good player for that same money. And even when Jose had money to spend, he still made some bad ones like Kezman and Diara.

This is no way takes away from his ability as a manager, but just begs the question: Should he have total control on transfers?

Ranieri signed De Lucas, Sullivan, Zenden and Petit.

Lmao, rattled.

Your post couldn't be more redundant, because I WAS applying it to those fans, and that you needed a sense of perspective to look at it from that point of view. What Mourinho brings to the table transcends results and style of play.

misread it. My bad

Fucked up against Monaco Rainy, but THAT Wayne Bridge goal was a moment to cherish forever. And the Tinkerman's celebration afterwards haha :D

Had a great eye for talent. I believe he enjoyed it with us. Good old times.

I seem to be alone but I never really took to him, don't get me wrong I appreciated snd admired (still do) the work he did at the club but I didn't take to him like I did Vialli or Hoddle when I was a kid.

Will always thank him for taken a risk on Frank.

we should really thank Bates for funding such an expensive transfer haha. I remember it was between Frank and Milner, the latter having meant to be cheaper.

he was an excellent manager ,, he got mocked as The Tinkerman for his rotations but was just ahead of his time in that respect . The treatment he received in his last year here by Kenyon was disgraceful , It seems to be ignored he twice got us into the CL and into the semi final . And was responsible for signing Cech as well.

He was highly popular with OUR fans and by the Media and even fans of other clubs

After taking over from Vialli after relegating Atletico Madrid, i was convinced this would be a horrible appointment but somehow he turned us around and made us more of a team again with his managerial experience. He was treated harshly but it has proved to be the right call both appointing him and relieving him. I'll always thank him for what he done with us.
