ulsterchelsea 3,221
You know what... It doesn't look as bad as first thought. I won't be getting one personally but then I'm 38 and really have no need for one. But happy enough to get the kids it. Definitely not as bad as first thought

Gold is not a good color to you put in cheap materials like those ones used on football kits. The current Nike kit is actually pretty good. BlueLyon 9,359
Its nice kit. Something different. It has nothing with SB on it that would be realy recognizable but as some sort of pattern it doesnt look that bad.
ulsterchelsea 3,221
Asked the China man to send me a picture of the Chelsea away shirt they are selling. Same as the leaked image obviously. I like plain shirts but I know some will be underwhelmed. Have to say the new Adidas arsenal home shirt is fantastic. Shame we never get anything like that Vesper

Pickles 1
New here ☺️ Does anybody know anything about the 99-01 kits that we wore in the UEFA Cup and Champions League? I purchased a Zola shirt with the UEFA Cup sleeve badge and I’m wondering just how rare it is. It’s the only UEFA Cup Chelsea shirt I have seen on CFS, eBay, etc and have been browsing for 18-24 months. Thanks ☺️

Thanks ☺️ it must look like this Those so rare becuase we got knocked out in the first round by St. Gallen, a Swiss team, in a massive upset, we blew a 1 nil lead going into the 2nd leg, away the strange thing is, the actual game kits did not have the logo of the UEFA Cup here are pics from the first leg at the Bridge finally, a few months before, April 2000 v Barca in the CL itself we blew a 3 1 lead on the road, lost 5 1 in Barca Luis Figo tore us apart BlueSunshine and Pickles
Superblue 6,372
We had such a good side back in that period between 97 - 00, it's easy to forget about it now with the success we've had since. But it was a great time growing up, we played some great attacking football at that time. We only finished 4 points behind the treble winning United side in 99. Bloody Steve Guppy equalised late for Leicester at the Bridge when we were 2 goals up near the end of the season which really screwed us over. We were probably just a player or two away from winning the league and more trophies during that period. Deschamps came in and struggled unfortunately and Hasselbaink was a couple of years too late for that group. The other problem was most of that side was old and the window was so short for them. By the time Ranieri came in it was already on its last legs and needed rebuilding. DDA

It was my first time purchasing from Classic11. I have a Desailly premier league shirt from the same year and it has a lot of curious differences from the Zola shirt. If anyone is interested I will take some pictures of the differences. I don’t think the Zola shirt is a fake but it’s possible someone added the UEFA Cup badge later (though it has the correct European lettering on the back as well). What got me wondering was when I watched a Classic Football Shirts video in which they review Tore Andre Flo’s match worn shirt from the 3-1 Barcelona leg. The CFS employee said that the CL ball sleeve badges weren’t available on replica kits in 99-01. Made me wonder why my 99-01 shirt has a UEFA Cup badge 🧐 thnaks again ☺️ Vesper
