Chelsea FC have been backed to make a surprise move for Tottenham Hotspur and England defender Kyle Walker this summer.
Bookmaker Sky Bet have taken significant money for the shock transfer to happen and have slashed the odds from 11/2 to 2/1.
Manager Jose Mourinho is sure to have his own ideas about which players he wants at Stamford Bridge during his second spell in charge.
He may not be too enthused about having Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic as the right-back options and therefore be seeking a replacement.
A swoop for Walker would have definite similarities to when Mourinho targeted and landed Ashley Cole from Arsenal during his initial stay in west London.
Although there is no indication Walker is unsettled at White Hart Lane, it would be understandable if the Sheffield-born player was tempted by the prospect of Champions League football on which Spurs just missed out last season.
Despite being just 23, Walker has already worn the colours of five different clubs during his career having had four separate loan spells.
Sheffield United and Tottenham have been his two parent clubs so far, while he has been on loan at Northampton Town, QPR, Aston Villa and back at the Blades.

he has amazing strength, pace and shot. But that's it. We have Azpi, Iva and Kalas can also play there.

Amazing strength? Remember when Mata knocked him over in the 4-2 game for Studge's goal? Hardly say he is really strong.

May not be too enthused with Azpi and Ivanovic? Not enthused for what reasons?!

If we are gonna get Walker, we might as well just bring back Bosingwa...

I remember. Mata really raped him, but that had nothing to do with strenght it was simply a big mistake by Walker. I do not say we should buy him, but if you watch him regularly you see he is rather strong for a fullback.
