Tomo 21,751
His lack of movement has been a problem since he joined and yet people back then were constantly finding excuses for him saying that our style of play doesn't suit him...To be honest for the first six month's the main excuses were actually valid, but all of them were gone that summer (of 2011) including the service one (you can't complain about service when Juan Mata is behind you).It would be funny , if liverpool buys Torres back and he starts scoring like a beast again and we gets Falcao and Falcao fails what would we do then splash another 50 M lol ?The latter is unlikely but former is impossible, Torres is finished, no magic move back to Liverpool will change that. RamiCFC9 258
Bye, bye Torres and welcome Falcao !p.s. Absolutely love how the club throws the shit away first Kalou, Malouda now Torres.
The Skipper 20,609
Imagine if our star trio could provide the same service to Drogba. The legend would be scoring at least 1 goal a game for sure.In his prime definitely, don't know about the Drogba last season. You only have to read the article by WAGNH about his lack of movement inside the box against Liverpool which gave no chance whatsoever to Hazard, Bertrand etc to put the ball in from wide areas. Back then we were still putting crosses in and such but yet Torres finds silly excuses to take the easy way out.

Leif 6,006
I just got an incredibly sick gut feeling that Fernando won't be sold in the January transfer window or the next summer window. I fear Roman may have too much pride to let him go.

I fear Roman may have too much pride to let him go. I actually don't care about him staying, i just don't want him to be first choice forward. His performances this season would be good enough for a Kalou lite role, just not first choice forward. If he wants that tag he should earn it and take on any competition we bring in. What better way to prove himself to the fans than to do to Falcao what Drogba did to Sheva?I find it embarrassing that we have had top forwards as good as whoring themself's to us yet we are stuck with a more expensive Kalou up front. manpe 10,861
Hes so bad I'd rather us play John Terry as a false 9.Not false 9. A false 9, as I understand it, is like a second striker who goes deep and plays practically in the hole. JT would be a pure target man, we could hoof it and cross it to him and he would win headers for us up front. Not such a bad idea tbh As a striker I'd rather see Cahill, he can head and shoot. Or Luiz. OneMoSalah
Madmax 9,219
Well the club hierarchy have shown with the managers that they're quick to change things when they're not going to plan. We've tried it all with Torres and it hasn't worked, isn't working and doesn't look like it's ever going to work. Falcao and Chelsea have been flirting pretty openly in the past week and the writing's on the wall as far as I'm concerned.

Then we ended up being stuck with this guy. I wouldn't keep my hopes up if I were you mate.

Not quite so this week.Atletico haven't played him in the EL at all this season; there's a theory going around it's to keep him from being cup-tied for us.I have a feeling there's too much logic to this move for it to not have been agreed already. BlueLyon 9,359
I realy hate that our board doesnt respond to transfer stories...When there was City-Suarez rumour, Mancini said yesterday that its just BS. But Di Matteo says nothing. Ever. FFS!
