CHOULO19 24,332
He's still our player isn't he? So why are Milan talking with Atletico and not us?We are part of the negotiations if you believe what the media are saying. Apparently, we've had representatives at the talks. The thing I don't understand is how he can be loaned to Atletico. Isn't a player only allowed to represent a maximum of two teams in a single season? He was already part of our squad in August and then obviously part of Milan's squad. Has that rule been changed? He was part of our squad but he didn't play. It's much like in the CL, a player can be registered to the squad but he only gets cup tied when he plays so in this case Torres has only represented Milan this season and is free to play for another club should he make a move in January. Will be interesting to see how the deal works out for us if he indeed does go back to Atletico. Another loan to June 2016 or a permanent transfer? CHOULO19

Quite amazing that Roman did not sack the entire board of directors and everyone involved in making the decision. True but to be honest I did think we had a bargain with his record with Liverpool, then the fairy dust died.

CHOULO19 24,332
Looking only the sporting, the signing of Kaka for Real Madrid was even worse.Real didn't need Kaka, he was a luxury signing for them and they could even afford to have him flop. Torres was signed to be main star of the team for a long time, and he nearly destroyed the ability of the whole team to challenge for titles for several years. Getting torres is a as very very poor decision. I hope atm don't do that.

RoyalBlues 4,050
Fernando Torres is re-joining boyhood club Atletico Madrid after they outlined a deal with AC Milan that should see Alessio Cerci go in the opposite direction. Milan have confirmed on their club TV station that 'high level talks' have taken place and hope to reach a swift conclusion. Torres is on a two-year loan from Chelsea but has failed to impress and Atletico are convinced they can rekindle the player of old on his return to Spain. They will take over Milan's loan arrangement with Chelsea and sign Torres for an initial 18 months. It just take over the loan deal, we still pay some of his wage, don't we? Plus from now if we draw against Atletico, we will face our own striker...In Courtois case, at least Atletico fully paid his wage, in this case the player will try to score against the club who still half pay his wage...Imagine how the reaction in here, if Torres knocked us out in CL...
