I don't get the point of this topic by the way. Since he's at Chelsea he's getting an weird, inconsisistent, crap... (call that whatever you want) service. He tried to adapt his game to it by playing lay backs on the width, being unselfish to create chances... Pretending everything is perfect behind him (I guess that's the point of people not even mentionning how horrendous is the attacking animation) is just fucking hypocritical.

I don't know about you all but when I get up I use to look at myself in a mirror. I've no crush or anything for Torres, I just refuse to fall into stupid conclusions especially when he's not the main problem. That shall be simplier just to say he's weak, no character or other stupid stuff

That doesn't prevent me to criticize him with his choices on the ball when he's in form, when he tries something too complicated , when he tries to force that choice. He's not above the team.

Can you just look at the stat just after and try to wonder if there's something wrong.

Torres has been provided 11 !!! clear cut chances on the whole last season, compared to 42 Arsenal provided to Van Pussy. Swansea who featured the most isolated striker (statistically) in Europe but still provided 22 clear cut chances to Danny Graham.

Have you guys never asked yourself that it Torres bad positioning etc might be the answear why he doesnt get as many chances.

And why has Torres gone from being a starter into bench player for spains national team these last seasons while they havent had any other strikers? Why has he been bad when he has played? Just stop with these "he doesnt get any service posts". Its over. Torres is finito.

please dont compare Torres to Crouch and Zamora! its one thing scoring for Stoke or Qpr and completely another thing scoring for Chelsea where teams park the bus and have extra motivation to beat us, plus the fact Torres is a big name in world football so defenders who play against him will always try to put in one of their best performances of their life against him, completely different to what Crouch and Zamora have to deal with.

That explains A LOT . Torres from QPR and Juve was practically the same one from the back end of 2010-11 (yes that bad!) which got everyone's hope deflated yet again.

To be fair Torres was poor at QPR (he was fine last night against the best defence in Serie A, yes all three on his own)..... BUT who the hell wasn't, they bossed us in midfield which is a disgrace given the talent we have available.

Well, i base my opinion based on my own impression of the 50+ games ive seen of Torres since he came to Chelsea. Stats doesnt always tell you the thruth, but if you want stats then i will give you stats: Torres has only scored 15 goals in 74 games for Chelsea.

Drogba (the legend) scored 16 in his last 60. 5 last year when we struggled and finished 6th and 11 the year before. Not great stats for a guy people use as a bench mark. Believe Torres also provided more assists in that time frame (well he was being played out on the right for a while with Didier through the middle)

Just because Drogba is a legend doesnt mean that he was great all the team. Drogba will be remembered for all the fantastic things he did fo our club and the perfect finish he had on his career in chelsea. If torres would leave today I wouldnt really have that many good memories of him.

And dont foget that Drogba was 33 years old when its started to go down for him and struggled with injurys. Torres should be at his prime now.
