jjd06e 37
many reports in guardian and telegraph suggest that we are ready to pay 50 mp and torres will be chelsea playr by tonight.Yep, and there are stories that Liverpool is already trying to spend the
TIWATZ 64
Soccernet asserts that we offered 27 and then 32 millions, and that Abramovich is not likely to meet Liverpools asking price: 50m. Hope its true and we end up with Andy Carroll in the end of the day for 14 millions. They want more like £30m for Andy Carroll.

The Big Drog 1,110
Im sure like most other Chelsea fans Im gonna be a nervous wreck tomorrow, I cant remember ever wanting a transfer to happen more than I do Torres to Chelsea. Reading the article in the Daily Mail which says we are ready to stump up the cash, with Sky reporting that Liverpool will accept a 50 million pound bid, hearing that Torres has said his fareweels at Melwood today, seeing the picture of him training alone, I really think this could happen tomorrow, fingers and toes crossed. Also lads bit off topic but does anyone know the lyrics of the Torres chant (to the tune of the class Liverpool Torres chant) that rang around Goodison the other day in our match against Everton, I think the cant was coming from our supporters, any idea what lyrics we will use to that song if we do sign him? BlueLion. 21,491
Drogba's Nearly 33.Enough said.I'm nearly 18, who gives a fuck? If he can continue to perform I wouldn't care if he was 73. The same goes to Lampard and any of the other 'oldies.' Footballers look after themselves and the majority will be able to play at a high level until they are 35.Are we really want him? -.-No such thing as loyalty in football. Remember JT demanding a £30,000-a-week pay rise or he was off to City? Loyalty died when the sport became commercialised with the Premier League. Shane 2,275
Morning guys, Today maybe be the day that a worthy replacement for Peter Osgood's number 9 shirt is finally found. Off to school, wind up a few Liverpool fans, No fone so I'm kinda fucked but Sky Sports News recorded at 4 ready for the headlines when I get home, and showed my mother how to get to sky sports news when I ring her off my brothers fone Do the right thing Nando, Win Trophies or Rob them, its quite simple. Champions League or Championship, Dider Drogba or David N'Gog, Ashley Cole or Paul Konchesky, John Terry or Martin Skertel.I know who I'd pick! Fulham Broadway 17,313
Really not sure about this -after the Luiz saga. It might be a big con to keep the fans quiet, which has worked. The club could now come out and say 'WE WILL NOT BE HELD TO RANSOM' and everybody will be satisified because it looks as though we are still prepared to offer big money and big wages to players.Anyway the piss taking on Sunday will be brilliant, songs ready, and there will be doubtless stained scouse bedsheets with '''Torres Judas'' etc etc . Love it
coolhead23 1,147
Not sure what would be the outcome of this Torres saga but one thing i m sure, this saga must surely have got the Uniteds fans worried and they would all be praying that this doesnt happen ... Drogba + Torres = lethal! specially when we got to play United twice

Love it At the expense of a player career? I dont think so. This is a serious move to boost this club and create revenue, not a soap opera to entertain the fans and keep them satisfied. What is worse, the outlash of us not signing Luiz, or whats going on right now for our target, his club, and their entire following? If anything, our club attempted to land a critical blow to the relation between player and club. There was a weakness that we exploited. Cruel, but its for the good for every party involved. We land a terrific athlete, he walks into a promising team and welcoming fans, and Liverpool are receiving a large sum to restructure their team and boost their finances. Every body wins at this point if the transfer goes through. Emotions are the only thing keeping this deal from happening.

Whichever way it goes it will upset Liverpool, if CFC dont pay what Liverpool want they will be left with a big sulking player till the Summer. If he comes here the first thing he has to do is get rid of the YNWA tatoo.....
CHD 30
Do not want. Buy Lukaku in Summer let him learn and replace Drog in 2 years.Only good thing about this deal is Torres wouldn't score against us.
