West Ham v Chelsea

Considering City are away to Everton and Utd are away to Reading this weekend, there is a definite chance for City to drop points but Reading could also be a bit of a banana skin for Utd. We have to win our match somehow! We just cannot slip up.

Look at our form, it's cringe worthy. Arrgghhh. .

City are at HOME to Everton, not away.

Sorry mate, but I think in the City Everton match, we need City to win to stop Everton pushing us for third.

West Ham away is going to be a tough, tough game. I really don't know how we even set-up for this game, but with Carroll up front I'd be inclined to go with Ivanovic and Cahill.

We don't need mikel? Are you serious. They are gonna be all over us physically and we need a bigger player in there who can show some strength when needed.

Are you Serious ? and when did Mikel become a physical player ? He's so easy to get the ball through from , not to mention he has like the lowest no of interceptions and tackles =P http://hereisthecity.com/2012/11/14/who-is-the-premier-leagues-most-prolific-tackler/

these are some stats =P

Mikel's physicality is underrated and with Carroll upfront you need a midfielder who can compete in the air when he drops off the defence.

Mikel is more than willing to get stuck in and show some determination, and that's exactly what we need against a team like West Ham.

Stats don't tell you everything. When a players boots the ball up the pitch and a centre-back heads it away, that counts as an interceptions so naturally centre-backs are going to have a lot of interceptions statistically. Me may not make a lot of interceptions, but he certainly makes some vital ones whenever he plays.

Mikel has the most interceptions on the team and has the third most tackles. Not that that is a particularly great measure of how solid defensively he is. His positioning is fantastic and yes, he is strong on the ball. Right now, he is a much better player than Romeu whose positioning still needs a lot of work.

Play Cahill as Defensive Midfielder , He's fucking good on aerial threats and He is actually a pretty good shot taker =P

Oh well , If he will play all our games , we know he'll be top on our own team list . And his Postioning lol ? Omg he has only performed well , when are back four has performed well ^_^ If he is so world class , he would had saved our asses so many fucking times when our back have made some serious messes

So basically when we play well defensively he gets no credit and when we play poorly defensively, it's his fault?

I'd rather play him up front to be honest, but we need him in defence this weekend.

See , you guys are PHD on blaming everything on TORRES , when the problem is in our Defensive Midfield , that is why we never got that balance right under RDM #FACT

Oh well , tell me something , If Luiz is having a bad day , Isn't it Mikel's Job to help him ?

No. Mikel has specific responsibilities and his job is to take care of those. Some of those responsibilities include covering for defenders but Mikel is not responsible for defenders having bad games. If Cahill doesn't close down a defender and if Luiz falls asleep, that's their problem.

Most of Luiz's mistakes are of his own making. He has moments where he falls asleep or simply does something stupid. That isn't Mikel's fault.

No , what i meant by that is , for a DM Mikel is always in our own half , passing sideways and all . I mean he doesnt contribute a shit in our attacks so if any of our CB is having a bad day , we all know Mikel wont contribute offensively , why dont he just drop further back with the CB ?
