Is the season f*cked?

Did we sacrifice our defensive solidity for attractive open expansive football? Yes we did. It was costing us under Robbie. Our season would have been more fucked if he was allowed to continue with that open style of play where the three don't actually have positions. He was rightly dismissed due to the fact we were playing good football but conceding easy goals. Rafa is going for a more defensive tactic but would you rather 2 clean sheets and 2 points rather than 0 clean sheets, 5 goals for and 14 against or something? Remember under Jose Chelsea were a solid defensively, aggressive counter attacking team basically. We scored lots of goals but rarely conceded.

Remember under AVB, we conceded goals for fun... sacked him and replaced him with Robbie who played a defensive system just like Rafa.. look what we won, why is everyone complaining about this defensive tactics when we won the CL and FA cup with it... honestly everyone who says "We want our Chelsea back" because we are playing defensive football needs a long hard look at themselves, we are getting our Chelsea back. The older Chelsea. Before all this bullshit where people were spunking themselves over Pep Guardiola's tiki taka. If that cunt had never come along and produced that sort of football everyone would be happy with a bit of negative football...

Our seasons not fucked, Rafa's just going back to basics like what Robbie did but he seems to be getting stick for it.. I honestly expect him to win the Club World Cup and Capital One Cup and then leave, Pep come in and everyone will start gurning like fuck when he gets sacked for some crazy tiki taka bullshit failing. Just don't see how you can play possession based football every week for a full season in a league that is so end to end... maybe in Spain, Portugal or Italy were the games are slow as fuck but not in any league in Britain.

If Man Utd and Man City were amazing and fucking everyone right left and centre i'd've accepted this but after the game we done Tottenham, i genuinely thought we were the best team in the league. Man Utd and Man City are not that special this season and we've blown a very big chance i believe.

I agree with this. We were better than United until Torres's red card and Man City looked good, but not unbeatable.

This season was wide open for someone to take it but we're simply not good enough. Fortunately teams like Everton and Arsenal have dropped points but Spurs could be a danger to us now.

hahahaha!! Season f*cked? Can't be serious.

I think people got a bit too carried away with the start of the season and the EPL defenders/midfield that had not seen Hazard, Oscar yet. Now they have adapted to them and know how to play against us people are like "OMG WE ARE NOT SCORING, ROBBIE JUST GOT SACKED! NOW RAFA IS HERE WE ALWAYS DRAW" Its two games, Fulham are a notorious team for us over the past few seasons, draw @ Man city, not bad results at all and not bad after 5 training sessions.

People forget we finished 6th and 25 points off the top last season, and for good reason, we were not good enough. Give it time.

I'd take 4th spot right now because thats what we all thought/expected at the start of the season? Don't forget that.

We should stop playing 3 att mid if everyone knows we are only goin thru the middle and fulbacks wide.

Only two of mazacar should be used with a winger like marin or moses.

We havnt scored with mazacar in two games so we hav notin to lose. This is EPL, we need crosses in the box or marin to shoot from outside. I cant remember any team that uses 3 att midfielders anyways.

Moses mata hazard/oscar

torres

OR

mata oscar/hazad marin

torres/moses

Agreed with above people are just too used to our team and formation we need to change it up they just go narrow in the final third and wait for one of our passes to go astray or get a block in then we are always open for the counter attack.

I'd actually like to see something like

Cech

Cesar bran Luiz cole

Ramires

Oscar oriol

Moses torres Marin

But perhaps not against west ham this weekend. The idea is that mata and hazard both have had a few bad games and this may work well giving them a bench for 60 minutes or so. It's setup with energy blanketing our back four then releasing our wingers for the counter attack in Marin and Moses.

Why have I put oriol there? He can pass 5-10+ whereas rameris is honestly one of the most frustrating players to watch when it comes to passing

We're effectively out of the title race with this negative moron in charge, though considering we don't even have a striker at the club I think we were kidding ourselves to ever consider the club as being contenders this season. We need a miracle to progress in the Champions League, also.

However if we get a top three finish and win at least one out of the FA Cup, Club World Cup, League Cup and Europa League I won't fucking complain.

The season is not fucked. We MUST get top 4, champions league looks unlikely but shakhtar at home is hard and if willian has a beast game then you never know... We need to be winning the league cup, hopefully the club world cup, and do well in europa and fa cup.

The season was f*cked the minute the transfer window closed. We have a small squad that is low in quality in several areas, especially central-midfield and forward positions.

The club, having already made a mess of the squad, decided that wasn't enough and sacked the manager and replaced him with the last person the fans wanted to see.

The season is f*cked and the club is in disarray.

It's still just baffling to me that people who are PAID to assemble a team, recognize problem areas, and bring in players in positions of need could not see this striker situation coming. All of us here were saying this before the season started.

We were asking what would happen if Torres got injured or sucked. Just incredible that a club who aspires to be amongst the best in the world and compete for titles can enter a season with 1 striker.

Of course this season is fucked because the fans are unhappy. Because we are unhappy with recent events, we can't really give 100% blame to the club... its partyl us. its a horrible cycle. The fans are important, imagine being on that pitch hearing boos and having no support, as a player, that does not motivate you - you might say these are professionals, and its their job, but no matter who or what you are, if you are getting a negative reception and negative reinforcement... nobody performs well.

We need to support the club. yes we arent happy with some of the choices the owner has made (and i agree) but we should back what has been done becuase theres nothign else we can do.. if you dont agree with whats gone on, like most (including me) then just suck it up, and support the team. If we get behind the team, our confidence will increase. we will not get results if we arent there to cheer them.

OR we can carry on crying, have a shit season, and hope Roman is a little more rational with his decisions... but we all know he'll just do what he want, he's not changed since day one.

So i say lets do our part and quit moaning. whats done is done, lets move on and win some fucking games.

As recited in Blue Day:

"Our Blood is blue and we will leave u never"

Stay loyal with the team guyz. The more we boo Benitez the worst it will get for us. Abrahmovic might have fucked up but we as the fans need to make the right decisions. I missed last night's game. A draw at Home to Fulham. Terrible

when a manager loses the dressing room it is critical ....when a club loses its fans it is terminal....

the club is in danger of doing just that

I heard supporters were being searched at the gates for any anti-Benitez stuff. Absolute joke.

Winning cures all.

Rafa needs to string together 3 or 4 straight wins starting this weekend at West Ham. While it may have been extremely annoying to draw at home yesterday, the fact that we actually moved up in the table is a positive. We have several teams breathing down our necks now so we need to go on a bit of a streak.

If we can make it to January and still be within a handful of points of the Mancs we can be in prime position to challenge depending on who we buy.

It doesn't. Our problems are a lot deeper than just winning a few football matches.
