Problem is if he is just going to be appointed on a short term basis, what motivation would he have managing us?! He will probably just try to screw us over and make us even worse than we are now!!

Even more than that, who would listen to him? If you're a player and you know you'll be there next year, and your manager is upset at you, who cares?

Wouldn't that just damage his career even further?

Like he bothers. He will probably be happy with the big fat paycheck he'll be receiving. After all, he is only getting this job for what he has achieved in the past even with the horror show at Inter!

How does Roman know 'what the fans want'? We take barely any banners to stadiums, have some of the quietest support in the league and he doesn't exactly browse these forums.

He's doing what he believes is best for the club.

We'll almost certainly get off to a good start with the new manager. After the tough City game, we have our easiest stretch of the season with 8 straight very winnable games. (Fulham, Nordjsalaend, Southampton, and Villa at home and West Ham, Sunderland, Leeds, and Norwich away.)
