Hutcho 8,443
Yeah booing is a bit harsh, just drop him for a few games was more my thinking and look to offload in summer Yeah, he needs to be dropped for sure, but RDM clearly doesn't have much faith in Danny for some reason, and we have no idea whether he has considered moses up top. Hutcho 8,443
Torres has great link up play He actually made some great runs, but then instead of playing the simple pass he tried to keep going and knocked it 8 foot in front of him.
Ollie 4,400
Also this game showed how important our captain is. Seeing one half with and one half without really highlights it. He was fantastic and we were comfortable, then we almost lost the game. His importance is unbelievable to this team.
Stats 7,145
please please please with sturrige not extend. He is so incredibly badHe only had 15 mins to prove himself, that is not easy against a stern defence. He has not been given a chance to prove himself. Being back up to a striker who doesnt deserve to be there is due to down his confidence. I want him starting against WBA, hopefully he proves himself from there. Laylabelle 9,535
I'm sorry, but you just can't draw at home against this Liverpool team if you are genuine title contenders. And you shouldnt loose 6-1 or whatever the scoreline was that City beat Man U to..and they were title contenders right till the last kick..okay it was last season but still. And they always seem to turn up for the big games...may be shite but they dont have all that bad players.City drew against them...so that would leave Man U as they only team who are capeable of winning the league... Peppen 934
I never said we dont need a new striker....................... Im saying buying a new striker is not enough, especially when our midfiled gets owned by the likes of Liverpool.I think you need to readjust your definition of owned. Come on now. Blue Armour 4,442
What exactly do you expect as I've said he was bought in too late as was the case a week ago.Lets look at this Hernandez scored 2 goals but he is not rusty - SAF gave him plenty of time on the field this season. In fact he started the second half as a half time substitution. Hernandez has been given a total of 700 minutes on the field for United - even though they have Welbeck; Rooney and RVP there.Lets look at Dzeko, the wonder sub - who came on with still 20 minutes to play for Tevez to score the winner. Who has played 600 minutes and overall played plenty of games last season for City as well.Sturridge has a total of 220 minutes and has 2 goals. Give him time and than say he should do better when coming on.Yeah our rotation policy is pretty bad...especially when you see that Torres hasn't done enough to seal a guaranteed start every game. couris 232
I think you need to readjust your definition of owned. Come on now.It was players like Allen Gerrard or Sahin. It wasnt Iniesta, Xavi or Buscuits. So owned seems appropriate.
Blue Armour 4,442
For some reason he always gets support at games more than any other player. I'm so done with supporting him. How come fans got on drogba's back but not Torres? I don't condone booing players but the support he's getting is just ridiculous.I hope you guys don't. His character isn't as strong as Drogba's....Once he realizes the crowd are on his back, whatever's left of his form will dry up and we'll have to suffer till will we get a replacement. So owned seems appropriate.May I ask what game you were watching, kind sir? They deployed a 5-man midfield to counter our front 4, but seemingly without ANY effect at all. Granted, they did maintain possession quite well in the first half, but they didn't make any use of it. We had all the chances, and should of sealed the game by then. I don't see how Gerrard (thought he had a very bad game), Allen (same as Gerrard) and Sahin (fairly average) 'owned' our midfield. But please, do enlighten me. They only set up suarez, after they had scored and we were pushing forward. We gave the ball away too much, but then we did a good job of winning it back. We threw away 2 points there, they didn't win 1.
Jase 43,479
Incredibly frustrating. Those chances squandered have cost us dearly. Mata and Oscar were the main culprits! Absolutely criminal not to bury those chances when we created so many! On the brighter note, we looked solid defensively for once after all the comical defending in recently. Just 1 slack marking from Ramires ended up costing us! Thought we pressed and defended well as A UNIT. Didn't allowed them to have time on the ball and forced them into making mistakes. That being said, we just seem to lost it after their equalizer. Became panicked and ran out of ideas. Could have lost it in the end.And IF there is one major criticism about RDM now, it is his tendency to make late substitutions and not early when it is needed. RDM has always seemed to wait till beyond the 70th minute mark before making any changes. Can't expect much impact with little time! Need to change early on IF it's not working or inject freshness into the team and replace the tired ones out there. Mourinho used to change things around early in games if things are not working and HECK, even AVB does it occasionally!
Peppen 934
Anyways, let's focus on the positives for a while. Like someone already pointed out, I thought Azpilicueta looked REALLY good defensive wise. Solid on and off the ball and made himself a passing opportunity quite often. I really enjoyed his performance tonight. In the first part of the second half he also contributed better to forward play, and I thought he had an overall very decent game. If he continues like that, who knows if he'll take the spot from Bran? Then we have ourselves a whole new situation on the central defense front. Of course it's always extremely bitter to drop 2 points this way. But not everything was negative, and we certainly have a lot to work on. At least the defense looked more solid than the last couple of games and had Liverpool under control for the majority of the game albeit the last 20 minutes or so.
