Peppen 934
WAY too much negativity here after a disappointing match!! I think getting off to such a strong start let some supporters get their expectations way out of whack. Top-4 was always a realistic goal for this season and still is, RDM made the right substitutions, not really much else he could do. Our problems are the same problems we've been having all season-inability to create chances. We are actually, I believe, one of the best teams at putting away our opportunities once we get them, we just aren't creating enough chances. We also are in between styles. We're not really a counter-attacking team and we're not really a possession team.Out of our attacking three midfielders today, only Hazard played well. Our pivot was OK, but that's the best it ever really is. It's hard to play fluidly when your central midfield can't create. Our defence played well generally. Not sure why people are getting on Torres after this game. Is he supposed to get the ball at midfield and go past 4 defenders and score? Yes, he's been generally bad for us in the almost two years he's been with Chelsea, but not every instance of dropped points is down to Torres.Indeed, the good start to the season created huge expectations and some kind of bandwagon effect to our success. This post pretty much sums it up, a 3rd place this season would be totally acceptable. But today it was not really the result that bothers me, but more the way we threw the 3 points on the ground. Of course that's what to expect, but still... Good post by the way
Milan 17,958
To find some positives - there is an improvement compared to last season when we lost at home to them 1-2. So 1 point better.
Slam Dunk 1,442
Meh. Pretty much what I expected. Liverpool always perform well at the Bridge. We paid the price of not being clinical enough and not killing the game off. Onwards and upwards.

couris 232
Ehm? That's not even the issues we are stressing. Yes, Oscar and Mata missed a couple of sitters, and should have scored. We agree on that, no? That still doesn't change the fact that we need a reliable striker like Van Persie, Hernandez or Dzeko that can change games from nothing even though the team might be under performing. How can you not agree on that?I never said we dont need a new striker....................... Im saying buying a new striker is not enough, especially when our midfiled gets owned by the likes of Liverpool.
Hutcho 8,443
Torres was no where near his worst, and did do some good things. But who voted him for MOTM?

Im saying buying a new striker is not enough, especially when our midfiled gets owned by the likes of Liverpool.Sigh they didn't own the midfield, we just turned the ball over too much. Also they played 5 in midfield to combat us - if we had a decent target man or a poacher playing on the defence shoulder we would have raped them! That's what I'm trying to say having a shit striker causes problems throughout the team !!! Ollie 4,400
Deeply gutted, why always so shit against them, why? Feeling so depressed after that. It's that transition from October to November again isn't it. Start great and then go on some shit run at such an important time. This is the worst Liverpool team i've ever seen and we put in such an average performance with no tempo. 2 games without a win, this was a big game to stay in there. Now we know the 2 Manc teams will just run away with it again like last year. They have strikers that get them big goals when they're in need, we don't. We have a young trio that are wonderful but there's too much reliance on them and they're still so young and new to the league. This is when you need your fucking striker to lead by example and dig the team out of a hole. We almost lost it, Liverpool dominated the last 20, we should be grateful we got out with a point. Now we see what Robbie is made of and how well he uses the squad. I see lots of very good players but unlike Man Utd and Man City, i don't see enough match winners or genuine impact subs who can come on and win you the game. Our schedule until Christmas is hell. If we can win the club world cup and stay within touching distance at the top by xmas, it will be one hell of an achievement. We play the same players all the time, we need at least 2 of the front 4 to be rested against WBA. I want to see Marin, Sturridge and Moses all start. We have Man City and Juve after WBA. Our season could be well and truly fucked after those 2 games if we're not careful. Utterly pissed off.

Las7 951
Mate I'm not talking about Torres, we all know he's bad – but Sturridge has to fucking do better when he comes on.All he does is give the ball away. What exactly do you expect as I've said he was bought in too late as was the case a week ago.Lets look at this Hernandez scored 2 goals but he is not rusty - SAF gave him plenty of time on the field this season. In fact he started the second half as a half time substitution. Hernandez has been given a total of 700 minutes on the field for United - even though they have Welbeck; Rooney and RVP there.Lets look at Dzeko, the wonder sub - who came on with still 20 minutes to play for Tevez to score the winner. Who has played 600 minutes and overall played plenty of games last season for City as well.Sturridge has a total of 220 minutes and has 2 goals. Give him time and than say he should do better when coming on.
Ollie 4,400
They were stronger than us, they dominated almost every 50/50. No wonder we're still after Fellaini. Mata, Torres, Oscar and Hazard are too lightweight to play every game together, and Ramires is hardly the strongest either. We need a dominant player that defenders are scared of. We simply do not have an intimidating team any more.
