Chelsea v Shakhtar Donetsk

He was originally supposed to be out for 2 weeks, I thought he might be back for this since it has been 2 weeks.

There were some reports back then said he will be out longer than that. And he's already 34. May take longer to recover from injury these days.

Our squad have Hazard and Oscar. If we cant win without Mata, then something is really wrong, because there is no good team in the world that rely on one single player.

The problem is not the lack of quality in the squad. RDM is also doing a good job, with or without Mata I do believe we will win this one.

Tbf, we were doing just fine without Mata at the start of the season, but since his return, Hazard has taken the back seat. We NEED him to step up tomorrow.

Because Mata is our Most Valuable Player. W/out Mata, we are 2nd Best. Didn't you notice this fact over the weekend?

Having JT on the pitch? That worries me as much as having Luiz on there! Fast tricky players, not John's cup of tea.

Would prefer Brana and Cahill as CB pairing or Luiz rather than having Terry

Ahh, Barcelona anyone?..

Fast, tricky, players? Do you think other teams' forwards are big lumps that just run at the defence?

Terry's more fit than Cahill and Brana. Plus, we need Iva on the right, not azpi's 'cup of tea' imo

I think Oscar has more to prove tommorow than Hazard after the last couple of matches imo.

Barcelona keeps strong with no Messi.

Barcelona's squad depth is crazy. They can afford to rest Messi.

At Chelsea, Hazard & Oscar are still adapting to English football and/or learning each others game...hence we'll see some mixed results without Mata.

Oscar is a great team player. He defends, distributes and keeps running for 90 mins. I'm talking about who is going to be our 'Superstar' when Mata is not present. In my mind, that has to be Hazard; that's what we bought him for.

And how did Barca end exactly for JT? Ah yes, sitting in the dressing room watching us make history, without him..

Anyways as I said, would prefer the CB pairing I said however we all know it'll be JT and Luiz.. Hope for the best - whenever Luiz gets a ton of criticism he seems to up his game.

We faced Barca over two legs, where we beat them. In the first leg Luiz and Terry were immense.
