Stats 7,142
English is my 3rd/4th language, but I think "had" works too... as long you understand what I mean. Oh ok. It just that Boga never came on unfortunately so there is still a chance he may not debut before them. I hope he plays with less injuries next season so he can progress but with the way Musonda is performing, he could really go up another level. That being said, all rumours seem to point to Musonda going out on loan. Possibly, Boga too.

In fact if he suffers just one or two injury absences that would still be the smallest number he has suffered in a Chelsea season.

lionsden 4,689
In fairness Boga should have had his debut last yr. The kid has been playing fantastically in the u21 since he was 15. I remember how he carried the team in the youth cup final against Norwich a few yrs ago and how he single handedly destroyed Barca in the Next Gen tournament.Yes he has been injured alot this season and Musonda and Colkett have had better seasons but it would been disappointing and shocking had they debuted before him. I wasn't referring to boga (who hasn't had his debut anyway).

bouletje 82
Made great effort to track back on that right flank, that's usually a football intelligence that comes with age as a flank player Still very RAW thoShowed balls in initiative gotta give him that and I still believe he can be an iniesta type of midfielder. Rekin 835
I understand that this is a PR friendly, but Musonda showed exactly how a youth player should take their chances. There was no fear or holding back, but a determination to show off his full arsenal of skills. Several very good passes, excellent dribbling skills and good positioning. Lack of experience/nerves/whatever stopped him a few times from making the right decision, but he is 18 and it is to be expected. He is another player that either needs a very tailored loan to really benefit from it, or that would be better off from staying with the first team. I know that players dont need the physique of Fellaini to prevail in PL, but Musonda should put on a few. He is very small when compared to even other technical specialists such as Messi, Suarez or Hazard.
lionsden 4,689
A youth player that shows initiative and plays with confidence and lack of fear is always an encouraging sign. His display of tactical awareness against thailand was very impressive and he's done that all season. We better not mess this one up. In Belgium he was touted as the only one that could match Hazard. I think that might be right tbh.
vandeveldejonathan 17
Actually, the feeling here in Belgium is that he is even more talented than Hazard (silly as it may sound). I have had the fortune of seeing him play when he was very young, and although his dribbling has always been unearthly, it's especially his vision and mental attributes that make him stand out. He played in teams that were much older than him, yet he was always captain and used to give tactical instructions to each player seperately before every match. In my humble opinion, he is the most talented nr. 10 player I have ever witnessed. Atholy, Stingray and DH1988

If Mourinho doesn't rate RLC work ethic he would love Musonda. He has amazing technique, I think clearly the best in Chelsea alongside Hazard and recently he added tracking back and tackles to his abilities. When he put muscles on his frame he will be perfect for Mourinho in my opinion. I think with his energy, consistency and hard-work he will easily play in many teams in Ligue 1. Let's hope for good loan. vandeveldejonathan, zolayes, Stingray and 1 other
vandeveldejonathan 17
Indeed he seems to contribute more to the defending aspect of the game, even without the added muscles (which he clearly needs imo). What do you consider his best position? Lower down the field in a Xavi kind of role? I don't really prefer him coming from the wing, I rather have Boga doing that and him in the centre, but that's just my opinion...Also, even with his seemingly frail figure, I can't recall him being injured lately (or is my memory letting me down?) Let's hope for good loan. He's more of a mixture of Xavi and Iniesta. Xavi and Fabrégas are excellent passers and direct the flow of the game really well from deeper positions. The difference is that Charly can dribble really well (only Boga is arguably better than him in that regard), kinda like Inieasta. For that reason alone i think it would be a waste for him to play in a deeper midfield role.
johnnythefirst 1,076
Getting really excited for this boy. Hopefully next season will become the start of something magical for him.
