robdog 2,084
honestly, just like the song "Blue Day", walking down Fulham Road is an awesome feeling for any Blues fans. Just the fact that you know you can inside Da Bridge....I remember that feeling when the lady in the booth gave me my ticket. I screamed for JOY!!! Goto the Pub meet a mate, have a drink & dream of Blue Tomorrows...That is the way to go!!!btw...that is the MH End where those banners were flying from, but the pict was me in the West Lower
blueviking 32
I prefer MHL because of the atmosphere. Been to West upper once in a Champions League game because all tickets were the same price:). But I would rather watch the game in a pub than go up there again.I do like the fact that Chelsea has two stands that are singing but I would like to merge the two to create a more constant and louder atmosphere (still many quiet periods) OR that the two stands would sing towards each other sort of creating a who can sing louder competition. Any thoughts?
Laylabelle 9,536
From when been there it does kinda work..one stand sing then the other join in but sound doesnt seem to travel that well. You kinda hear bits on the MH in the Shed then trails off.Shed Upper next to the away fans tends to be good atmosphere depending who the away fans are! Joe Tyler 84
Shed Lower has a better view than Harding Lower and has just as much atmosphere.
DavBlue 57
Matthew Harding Lower or anywhere in the shed being the simple answer, MHU may sometimes seem a little bit muted when compared to the lower tier but that's mainly because of the smaller capacity as mentioned before. Just don't go West or East, It'll cost you an arm and a leg especially when you're adding that to your travel costs. You get a great view in the upper tiers but its a little too family friendly if that's how I put it, no standing, sparse singing, and posh tarts on their phones and football tourists are to be expected. Anyway....Hope your mrs makes an informed decision and you enjoy your first visit to the bridge
Kez 2,727
Shed or Matthew Harding, stay away from the East or West whatever you do.I sat in West Stand for Norwich, my first time in there & it wasn't actually that bad, there was occasional singing & the view was good. There was a boy about 10 year old singing Zigger Zaggar, fair play to him. Obviously MHL is the place to be though for atmosphere

The sound from WHU --> Shed and backwards doesn't travel at all. I don't know if it's because we are singing not loud enough or just the acoustics of the stadium. Often the Shed & MH are just singing together in the beginning, then it falls of and it's like we are singing a line in the shed, MH are already one line behind or ahead. Anyway, I like away games more lately, as long as I don't sit in the East/West I'm fine..
DJames 729
Guys,I believe I'm being taken to the Bridge by my wife for my 50th next year. Probably the Everton game as its nearest the date. This is my first and probably only chance to see Chelsea at Stamford Bridge despite being a fan for 43 years. What I wondered, what is the best stand or area atmosphere/singing/noise wise. I intend having a ball and want to be at the liveliest area so where should I try and get a ticket ??CheersBITC - WATPWherever you sit I hope you have a fantastic time!!!!
