switch the formation instantly after a few bad results with the 4-2-3-1 because that stuff happens only in FIFA

Fuck that, i never switch formation's on fifa, i get far too comfortable with the one i play to do that.

Is there any reason that we should have someone between our goalie and our defenders?

You are thinking "Sweeper". A Sweeper stays back as the final man between the GK and the backline of defenders and rarely if ever goes forward. A Libero is essentially a CB that has been given liscence to roam and attack.

That is exactly what I meant. Didn't know that Libero is Sweeper in english. My bad.

Absolutely no room for experimentation with these lot. Mourinho's years of "4-3-3 up and at them" is drummed into the heads of players that he never even worked with. Short of selling 10 players most influenced by Jose, and buying 10 new ones, we cannot facilitate such a change. It's just not possible for us. It would be like Big Sam at Bar-senal. Remember Ancelotti with his diamond midfield? AVB with the high line?

They don't like change.

@ sure loves his Libero's.

although i think the 3 at the back is good in terms of the players at our disposal (at the moment) it would not suit John Terry at all. i can't see him being able to adapt to that. Also, Luiz would noth ave as much freedom as he has.

signing another RB would eliminate playing 3 at the back.

another formation that could work, that I have't seen is a 4-3-2-1

2 AMC (Mata/hazard) behind torres. with 3 deeper midfielders (one DMC, 2 attacking/support wider players)

with this formation as well, with a simple sub such as brining Sturridge or Marin on can turn this to a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1

I'm thinking no.... Most of them had never played 4-3-3 till he JM joined us, yet they adapted and dominated. Only two of our back four remain, only two of the midfield remain (maybe three)and none of the strikers he employees.

Might need a couple of signings but it's viable would actually unlock the potential in both Ramires and Luiz in my opinion. I'd certainly co sider this as a possible formation, perhaps not our default one though.

Cahill needs to be included in the back line. other than that. I agree 100 percent.

-----------Torres--------------

--Hazard----------Mata--------

-------Oscar------Ramires

-----------Romeu------------

A.Cole------------------Azpi

--------Terry---Cahill------

------------Cech-------------

That's not an organisation, that's a funnel. I think we'd be pleased to have 15% of ball possession with those players !

With azpilicueta joining the blues I find it hard for them to try and go to a three back formation. Now with a right back why not move Iva to center back and bump david luiz to cdm. He can attack and drop back to defend as well.
