I would like to see us going for Capoue for defensive midfielder.

He wouldn't get outmuscled and he could follow his man and going in centre back if a central defender comes to help a fullback.

------------------------------------------------------------------Cech--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------Azpilicueta-----------------------Ivanovic---------------------Luiz or Cahill-------------------Cole---------

------------------------------------------------------------Capoue---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------Ramires-------------------------------------Oscar---------------------------------

-------------------Mata----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hazard--------

--------------------------------------------------Torres or Cavani----------------------------------------------

And if we have difficulties against stronger opponents, we can change this formation and change Hazard or Mata for Sturridge who would be more direct in a counter attack.

It's a theorical formation and if we are higher the pitch, Oscar would be higher on the pitch with Ramires holding his position unless he can rush through a lot of space.

When I edited, it's missing the bit about me wanting the club going for Capoue as defensive midfielder.

He wouldn't get outmuscled and he would follow his man and going centre back if needed. Example of a centre back helping and covering a full back.

lol at some of the Luiz criticism (not only here) when terry was far worse than him. Luiz just gets more stick because he looks more clownish when making errors, whereas JT's errors were actually costlier. His 'defending' during Tevez's goal was utterly ridiculous and laughable.

And mikel is fucking useless with this style of play that we're trying to apply.

Agree with the bit about Mikel too ponderous for the counter attacking. sweeping up the field play that we're becoming synonymous with.

Yesterday -good day out apart from the result of course. Stating the bleeding obvious, the sending off changed the game -that said some of the giving away of the ball and dire pasing has continued since the pre season friendlies.

Missed first 15 mins coach stuck in traffic. Good banter with most of the Citeh fans, but it kicked off outside later on. One of our lot got ejected -she was completetly pissed up !

Birmingham police kept us back in the car park for nearly 2 hours -obviously they wanted the over time. One unsavoury moment -there were loads of Thai fan club outside and one was stood on a wall taking pictures of the Citeh fans with a Man Utd camera. - Naivety at its best. Citeh fans pushed him off the wall, and then it kicked off...

you know you want to, to be 100% ultra professional in every single way :eyebrows:

I just checked to see the first page of angryness. I mean, usually in the post match when we lose, ppl are at their most angry as it's just happened. I like the differing levels of temper with the others who say it's ok it's a meaningless game for the 4th consecutive week.... Last season we suffered big time against Wigan and now ppl are just assuming we'll beat them easy when nothing actually suggests that we will.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic will not face any suspension despite his red card in yesterday's fiery Community Shield defeat to Man City.

Ivanovic was sent off by referee Kevin Friend near end of the first half.

The Serbian caught fellow countryman Aleksandar Kolarov with a high tackle which Friend deemed worthy of a straight red card.

It was thought Ivanovic would be banned for three matches, starting with Chelsea's opening Barclays Premier League fixture at Wigan next Sunday.

However, it now appears the FA changed their rules after an incident during an Amsterdam Tournament in 2006, when Manchester United pair Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney were both sent off against Porto and ended up serving three-match bans.

As the rule change covered all non-competitive pre-season fixtures, including the Community Shield, it means Ivanovic will be free to play at the DW Stadium.
