New striker needed - but who?

Chelsea (like another big club) won't ever sign him due to his leg condition, his career literrally relies on one bad tackle. Beside that he's not very clever, we've to list all the recent signings who are wise, well educated and intelligent people (Lukaku, Mata, Moses, Oscar, Azpilicueta etc...). Ba couldn't enter into that list.

I've been told a striker has scored 3 out of his 3 only attemps at goal so far, I don't remember the name, I recall he plays in Northern England... :D

Steven Fletcher!

Still think cavani is our man, if not give piazon a go until lukaku comes back next year,

Falcao is a great player but identical to torres in playing style, no good to us at all.

We need a score from anywhere, make it himself bully defenders all around kinda striker who can play with torres/sturridge/etc whoever mite be their.

Fletcher gets no recognition at all for his abilities. It's a crying shame because he so talented and is hands down the best Scottish player in the world right now. Another shame is that he isn't picked for the national team due to a petty squable between he and the manager.

Speaking of Scottish footballers, what about bringing Mark Yardley back from retirement? He would give us size up front.

Anyone currently free? We need someone now not in Jan. Imo we should've got Saha or Fletcher, they would've obviously chose us over Sunderland. We certainly missed the boat with all this trust for the biggest flop of all time. We need to get someone, i just hope the Falcao rumour is true (unlikely) and we have a plan. If we don't get a striker scoring 20 goals, we can kiss UCL qualification goodbye.

while all the time i was posting bout buyin cavani/falcao, i remembered a 6 foot 3 giant of a guy who was tipped to be world class and in a short period of time that he has been given to play, he has proved that he is quite good. RECALL LUKAKU

Sigh.....

Buy buy buy.... Chances of us spending an additional £40-50 million in Jan on a striker are zero. No point, Torres shall have scored 15 goals by then.

Only area I can see us improving on is CM, the glaring whole in our 4-2-3-1 formation.

Play Sturridge, simple as that. But if we'll need a striker come january, as a realistic option i would go for Remy again. Proper striker imo.

Dont think there's a point in discussing Falcao and Cavani, those players wont move in the middle of the season, even if we'll get crazy to splash this money again on a single striker. Which i cant belive will happen so fast after our fall with Torres.

You're right. splashing out for one striker is always a big risk. Esp when they had their best years and are already into decline which torres was at liverpool, which shevchenko was at Milan. As we've seen any striker can get into a goal drought and for some the system has to be build around him and for some even then the goals won't come. Everyone knows we perversley overpaid for Torres and for a striker who is only as good as his "service","his confidence" or whatever excuse s.o. find for the shit performances Torres delivers week in weekt out. the next striker which is only necessary when Torres goes on that way and studge gets injured 1. has to be cheap 2. a stable personality 3. does not give a fuck about service or confidence but simply scores goals.
