Just to compare him to Drogba like everyone loves, at that age Drogba was still running around barely being able to train with the first team at Le Mans. I agree he has been mostly useless for Chelsea so far and hasn't shown much of his potential, but we got to give him some time and not constantly compare his performances to Drogbas and judge him on a over inflated price that was stupid Chelsea managements fault more than anything.

I know I'm probably alone about this on here, but I still believe in him turning into a good striker, but a loan would probably be the best for him right now, then Chelsea just needs to buy a new striker too.

the interesting thing to notice is the statistics and what de matteo is trying to do in the long term. we had 60 % possession and completed 200 more passes then milan. i know it's a useless statistic but instead of looking at the result, try seeing the bigger picture, we are building something special. this is just a practice session to get our rhythm more in-tune. we have the talent, the facilities, the dough and the mentality. all we need now is time, and patience. caaaaaalm.

The formation was definitely 4-1-4-1 rather then 4-2-3-1, either that or Lampard was out of position for the majority of the game. I tend to think Lampard played very high up the pitch and always looked to move into attacking position because of RDM instruction.

Remember the pre-season before the 2010/2011? Won only one game and lost the rest. Many tried to rationalize it with what people are currently saying on here. During the season we have are worst run of results in winter and win nothing in the season.

Coincidence, no? We had a great start to the 10/11 season despite the poor warm up, as the whole team looked fit and confident, and the results reflected that. It took nearly three months before things started to fall apart for us.
