Absolutely not... Regardless whether I think Oscar may still make it, it is clear it won't happen here.

what I am criticizing is the simplification that Oscar is somehow responsible for our lackluster play this season, ironically when he hasn't featured very often.

cant answer why RLC doesn't play - might be that the manager doesn't think much of him.

I personally think matic is twice the player mikel is, but I digress. Mikel should definitely be one leaving along with Oscar. it is actually a lot easier and cheaper to replace mikel than Oscar.

4-5 players should leave or at least lose their starting position, otherwise we will have a very similar season. And def adjust the system if fabregas stays.

We are again going to go round in circles. Mikel is a starter only because Matic has had an absolutely AWFUL season. currently, matic has lost his confidence and I would play mikel ahead of him. Hazard is one of the best players in the world, forget about chelsea football club. But currently, if i had an option of filling one winger spot with either hazard/willian, i would choose willian.

Meanwhile oscar is a starter. He has played 1617 minutes of football this season in PL where we are mid table. Mikl has played 1168 and I dont know the exact minutes but i can guarantee that 80% of these would be under hiddink where we are yet undefeated.

So yes, a lot of us think that replacing oscar with isco/payet would make us 10 times better. We would get a proper link between attack and defence, more chances created, more goals scored, more ball retention, more possession.

I do agree that we needed changes. Oscar, mikel, Cahill and iva should not be here next season. Oscar would be the first one out of here. People still think that he is a good player and he has a market value hundred times his actual worth. He is exactly the type of player we should sell and rebuild using that money.

You are linking cause and consequence When imo there is none or at least very little.

mikel started against Everton and Porto under Jose and you know how well we played.

i digress, this is Oscar thread.

i will give you a different example then: don't think Pedro is better than Oscar regardless of form.

my point remains that we have other oscars in the team... Several of them actually.

pains me to say it, but depending on the deal he may or may not be willing to take, terry should perhaps leave too.

"The magic of the number 10 comes from the trequartista's feet, the player of inventiveness, the one who is capable of wrong-footing “everyone with a piece of skill perhaps he is not even fully aware of.” - Roberto Mancini

This guy shouldn't be a no.10 to begin with, let alone play for a club that wants to be elite.

Jose and alot of Cfc supporters thought and wished Oscar would have evolution of a season like Hazards the season before, alas it didn't happen,at 24 lets hope he can improve like Willian,if not he's too expensive to still be a squad player,we need a new starter of world class proportions to consistently add and improve the team.

Just watched the England game and Dele Alli really surprised me. I'll admit I don't watch many Tottenham games because, well, they're Spurs.

But the technique, general ability and even his pressing was there. T

He is 7532585329585684x the player Oscar is and he's 5 years younger.

The funny thing is, if Ali ended up with us during the summer, Oscar would still be picked over him and Ali would be in the reserves.

It's quite astonishing when you think about it for a moment - the amount of money being paid to the likes of Mourinho and Emenalo who are supposed to be football experts, yet they continued with the likes of Oscar who is absolute dog shit 80% of the time.

We would have bought him and then loaned him out to Middlesbrough. Any success there would have been belittled before another loan move to a Premier League relegation candidate the following season.

Don't forget the 'not good enough for Chelsea's level' brigade would be out in force! Just in case we needed a reminder of what our current level is...it's 10th!

I'm not Cesc's biggest fan, but at least we get a decent half-season of form out of him. Oscar? We're lucky with one good game a month.

Talksport has made the interesting point about the young England starters today: many of them were not part of the U-21 club system.  I have to ask: what do Southampton usually do with their developing players?

If Conte don't want Oscar, he is off then. If Conte want him to stay, he will stay, you like it or not. As simple as that.

He'll probably be around for another season and the final verdict will be clear.  Unfortunately.  Most of the fans aren't premature in wanting Oscar gone.

You don't know that any more that I can claim to know the opposite yet I do believe the opposite. Had Dele Ali joined us in the summer he'd have been playing because he is clearly better than the options we have.

You forget that Jose frequently dropped Oscar and tried alternatives. The alternatives never worked however and Jose would eventually go back to Emboaba. He was searching for a player we didn't have. It was only this season that Willian finally took his chance and did enough, until recently anyway, to hold the place. There is no doubt in my mind that Ali would have grabbed that chance and made himself first choice.
