Ollie 4,400
Lampard can't play forever. If we're to evolve, we need to bring class youngsters in who can take us to the highest level. Lampard has been the best midfielder in our history but as Brazil, Barca and Spain have shown, football is changing big time now.
Term-X 7,891
I think we need some more defensive/back up minded signings than Hulk right now. If we get Hulk we'll be in a situation where we have too many queen bee's and not enough worker bee's.He wasn't shy of his defensive duties against Team GB the other week, we need a big physical presence in attack, we only have small frail midgets atm. Bosnian Blue 2,471
What squad number do you reckon he is?Perhaps 14 if KDB does go on loan to Werder, or maybe 15 in case Malouda leaves. That's the least of our worries now. We should sign Azpilicueta and Hulk while they're in London.
JDY 1,290
Imagine if we didn't win the UCL. We would probably be looking at signings like Moses and Danny Simpson, along with Marin who already signed.
BleedsBlue 1,549
I just hope he is not our future replacement for Hazard because the Belgian's first priority was Real Madrid.
Gerg 8
"A 5ft 10in (1.79m) attacking midfielder who can play wide, he has a reputation for good pass-and-move football, protecting the ball and choosing the right moment to play passes."A hint? themightyblue 443
I think the squad is enormously off balance, actually, and we will pay for that when we draw Barcelona in the CL knockout stages. Unless we sign Messi we point-blank cannot out attack Real, Bayern or Barcelona and we will have to bus our way through. Except now we don't have the personnel to park it. There are too many attacking midfielders (both central and wide), not enough strikers or defensive midfielders.Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Marin, De Bruyne, Malouda, McEachran, Sturridge.. none of them guys you can ask often to defend for their lives, Mata aside. And up front we're literally light weight, we could do with signing a 2 metre tall, 90 kg target man that we can hoof it to.I think the squad is enormously off balance, actually, and we will pay for that when we draw Barcelona in the CL knockout stages. If we wanted too, we could field the exact same team minus Kalou and Drogba and even then they'd be replaced by Ramires and Torres. The core of that defence is still there in Cahill, Terry, Cole, Ivanovic, Mikel and Lampard and so we could easily still 'park it'
Nedy08 27
Great news but I think we all need to realize that we aren't getting Hulk this season. Not with Porto being as delusional as they are right now.

We need Hulk, a natural inverted right winger. Sturridge is primarily a CF now Drogba's gone.
bababoom 4,478
We've signed signed three class players and it's still only July. Welcome Oscar, i have high hopes for him.
Shane 2,275
This is a massive signing, I think he'll be used in linking the attack from midfield to the forwards, picking the ball up from the back and playing into Hazard/Mata, and looking for a return. chelsealukas23 79
3 times Yes!!!...I'm so happy. He is very great player and his brilliant passes oh yeah. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.Brazil against Egypt at 7:45 pm(20:45 in the CZE)
Ollie 4,400
All of our CAM's can play out wide. They are skillful, quack and can all dribble with a ball. Also it's good signing players from same national teams so nobody is left out and feeling a bit shy. Brazilians, English, Spanish and Belgians with the odd few others. We still have Romeu, Essien, Mikel and Lampard who are physically able, and Lukaku also when he's developed sufficiently. Cavani is very good physically and this is the final piece of the jigsaw, or Hulk. Either would complete the squad, this season is going to be unbelievable. We're more balanced than people think. Term-X 7,891
13 has been available since Ballack. Courtois 'apparently' reserved it upon signing.I hope he is allowed to choose 13 though, there isn't much better available, unless we sell someone before he arrives.
