Daniel Sturridge

What would you expect his camp to say?

He was sitting on the bench, whilst a past-it striker got opportunity, after opportunity to impress...

Unfortunately when you cost about £100 million you get more opportunities to impress. That's just how the real world works.

His contract was running down though and realistically I don't know what the club could do to be honest - and please see I've used the word realistically. In fact I'll underline it and bold it.

Kaka also cost 100 million but he is sitting on the bench - how much he cost is a load of bollocks really.

We simply sacked every manger at the time he realized that Torres is past it and would never be good enough for a club of our caliber.

How much something or someone costs isn't a load of bollocks. I did underline the word 'realistically' for a reason.

That's not quite true though is it. Again, the word 'realistically' is a little bit important.

How much a player cost is a load of bollocks, specially if that same player is given two and a half years to find form,

The board screwed up making our managers play a player who is past it and should realistically be playing at a Championship level club. Since he scores the majority of his goals against QPR; Genks; Wolves; Leicesters etc.

You said it's how the World works well I show you Kaka; I show you Carroll; I show you Mendieta; I show you Sheva; I show you Veron; countless of flops who have not been given two and a half years to turn things around.

Maybe if you are into accounting but how much a player costs doesn't win you matches, otherwise Real would have won the CL ten times in a row.

It's not so much about being into accounting (apologies to the accountants out there), but more about being into the 'real world'.

Fuck off giving Robbie shit. The club had a financial prerogative to give a £100 million investment every chance to find form. Yes it was unfortunate that Sturridge didn't get every opportunity but what's done is done. We're now in a fantastic position as a football club in so many respects yet some people will always focus on the negative, whatever it is.

Clubs sell players. Sometimes those players go on a downwards trajectory, sometimes they improve. I simply don't understand the mentality of 'supporters' who constantly pick the same scab whenever they get the chance. I don't see the fun in that, or the joy they garner from that. It's really not an edifying aspect of this forum, but then again what is?

Oh we also had the perogative when Di Matteo even started Hazard as a false 9 instead of giving Sturridge the chance? Also he didnt even used him as a sub and constantly played him as a RW even though he played tremendous for Bolton as a striker. so we sold Sturridge for 12m and got Ba for 8 m. you call this great business? and last season we had 60 games. so do you think Torres had to start everyone and we couldnt have had Sturridge as a No 2 striker playing? dont act like we were forced to sell Sturridge. our club was bilnd and thought that he didnt have the potential to play up front. thats a clear error. we have sold Liverpool their best player atm for freaking peanuts. thats not only annoying but also embarassing on the one side. I dont know how our board couldn't see the potential this guy had, instead we kept on playing Torres and it felt like we were reduced down to 10 man every game. Robbie clearly didnt have enough balls to bench Torres and didnt see the potential Sturridge had. Thats his fault, dont try to act like he was a slave for Roman and couldnt bench Torres. in fact he did against Juventus but still started Hazard as a false 9.

Sturridge was unlucky in this aspect. this was his game to really mark himself a future Chelsea #9, but as you recall he picked up an injury in training. That really was all she wrote for Chelsea & DS.

It's a massive kick in the teeth when ypu go and buy a clubs striker for 50 million and you already have a better one who you then go and sell to the club you brought the 50 million pound flop from.

We will never live that one down!
