The Illuminati Thread

Yes, it's the downside of the internet. Along with easily accessible information has come easily accessible nonsense that just enforces some ridiculous confirmation bias. I have always found occam's razor to be a sound principle. There are lots of books on why people believe in conspiracy theories (much more prevalent and understandable in closed societies where real information and lies are easily confused and where the governments really are spying on you all the time.) There are so many ridiculous elements in conspiracy theories (the basic lack of understanding of chance or randomness, false attributions, post facto logic, the complete lack of any convincing motivation for the conspiracy, of how difficult it really is to keep secrets even between 1 or 2 people never mind tens of thousands, etc..) To me, the most ridiculous thing about this mentality though is the complete lack of understanding of how plans will always go awry. The more complicated the plan, the more that will go wrong.Something as simple as meeting a friend for a coffee will go wrong a bunch of the time (bad traffic, someone jumped in front of a train, one of you gets sick, etc...) As the plan gets more complicated, what can go wrong grows exponentially. If you've ever undertaken a big task (say, starting your own business or project) you know that a whole bunch of things will go differently than you had planned. And that's one person doing a few things. The idea that thousands of people can secretly do these things for vague reasons and never once get caught is just beyond ridiculous.

Good point! There are many points which can bring all those theories down.

Um no. What happens is that when an event happens, its afterwards that people then try to shoehorn it to things like the card game and then scream "OMGZ EVIL ILLUMINATI DID IT IT!!!!11!1!!!!!!!!". Look at the cards themselves. They are vague and can easily be put into anything to what people see.

Where is your nearest mental health institute? I think you need to take something to calm your paranoia.

I think we got Illuminati over here

Anyway 2nd video is just uther shit. Some pixar movies and shit, that dude who made the video was pretty high that day.

Equal pages with the Politics thread? Right. Downhill is the direction.

I actually quite like how South Park explained conspiracy theories in their episode on 9/11, ridiculous ideas that masquerade and make fun of concrete facts (that should be of interest) by those who would rather divert attention via this faultless method. For example rightly laughing at NWO etc and also consciously choose to ignore the influence of the Rothschilds and the like.

Is there some new mainstream conspiracy theory going around? It is the second forum today in which exactly the same thread was opened (about Illuminati and olympic bombings).

I've watched my fair share of documentaries about such things. I don't know what to think or believe. There are some things that seem plausible and then there are things that are just over the top. It's probably impossible to prove any of it, so it's difficult to form a strong opinion on it. I just keep an open mind, absorb new information and observe global events and try to connect dots in the light of new knowledge. Not much an average joe can do anyway, we are merely slaves.

It seems like it's ok for people to accept such things as Iluminait, Mayan theory and all that stuff.

But if you mention things like Evolution is fake, and that UFO's are demons you are branded as delusional.....

Well whoever has an open mind and don't care about listening to a good long lecture check it out:

Alien Intrusion: UFOs and the Evolution Connection

Very interesting. Unlikely it will happen because its leaked before the event and not after. I doubt these things were shown prior to 9/11 and the other tragic events that have happened that are portrayed in these cards. This Olympic terrorist attack has been predicted ever since we got the games so it's just not gonna happen. These happen when no one expects it.

I do like the vids tho, very interesting. Love stuff like that lol.

I'm pretty sure tho the fireworks from video 2 portrayed Guy Fawkes and not a celebration of a terrorist attack. It's a celebration of the Kings escape from 1604. Guy Fawkes was the guy who planned to blow up the houses of parliament with gunpowder in the 1600's in a plot to kill the king. On 5 November 1605 Londoners were encouraged to celebrate the King's escape from assassination by lighting bonfires as long as it was in a safe manner. In Britain, 5 November has variously been called Guy Fawkes Night, Guy Fawkes Day, Plot Night and Bonfire Night; the latter can be traced directly back to the original celebration of 5 November 1605. Bonfires were accompanied by fireworks from the 1650s onwards.

Although after that brief history lesson i could be completely wrong of course.

It would be very interesting if this attack happened tho, i obviously don't want it to but after seeing these vids, if it happened.... just wow.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I don't believe too much in this too, but if this will happen...

South Park is rather good at this sort of thing. The "Manbearpig" episode was a pretty good take on global warming.

Half them logos in that videos aren't related to the Illuminati, I seen an Egypitan hieroglyph in there somewhere which was the Eye of Horus I'm sure. Will someone care to explain how the fuck the Eye of Horus is related to the Illuminati????

I seen the Freemasons Compass thing in there though but I have a hunch its just in there because the Freemasons were similar to the so called Illuminati. The question is, do they exist? and imo I don't think so.

The Masons are certainly a real, public organisation. Whether they're satanic mass murderers angling for Novus Ordo Seclorum is up to you to decide, but I highly doubt it.

May the Illuminati find me and kill me tomorrow to prove me wrong, but such an organisation does not exist. It has not for centuries. The foundation for the modern conspiracy theory stems from some Scottish bloke having a bit more whiskey than was good for him and coming up with some crackpot tale that involved the Illuminati surviving Church repression (which had erased all it's opponents for centuries before without problems), and then masterminding the French Revolution.

Modern Illuminati conspiracy theorists use that French Revolution "masterminding" as a base to expand on the premise that the Church wasn't thorough in doing what it did best, stamping shit out. According to them the Illuminati supposedly hung around for another hundred years and sparked the 1848 Revolutions, and finally, the most laughable claim of all, controlled the Russian Revolution from start to finish. After that, we get the modern examples. Communism, promoting the interests of the Jews and attempting to create a new world order is what this phantom group are accused of doing in the mid to late 20th century, as well as so far into this century.

And as for 'mind control'; I follow Chris Tucker's definition, where mind control can be achieved by being quiet when a physically superior specimen tells you to "Shut the fuck up"; and then talking again when the superior specimen leaves.
