Even Messi is not really a "false 9" IMO.. they put him there on the line-up but he just moves around wherever he wants, he has a free role.

I really want him to solve one of those big games for us, right now (not implying he hasn't done it in the past).

I think this is what we need now for him to move his confidence to the next level. If he, let's say, scores one and assists another, or something to that effect, I think his confidence will sky-rocket and he'll take that final step in the amazing curve he's been in the last few months. True but he never played in that role for a multiple years in a row. 1 season under Spaletti when they played the famous '4-6-0 formation' and in the current season. I'm a huge Totti fan but he does rely on his incredible technique and vision. And that's why I doubt he'd be able to perform to the required level, which would mean performing consistently himself without the team suffering in the process a whole, if Roma had to combine domestic and European football.

Anyway back to Hazard. It will be hard in this particular match but it would be great if he could deliver a top performance on the biggest stage. He definitely has the ability so it's all up to him.

I don't know if I've said this before (probably have) but I've never known us to have a player like this. He's potentially the best player in the world and he's only 23. Never looks like he's going to lose the ball, fantastic awareness of everything going on around him, strong, skilful and plays with a smile on his face.
