Jase 43,479
I couldnt say, but what I do know for a fact is that, whether it be footballers or celebrities, there are loopholes which through accountancy enable one to pay less tax. Regardless of the circumstances, I for one am not believing he's earning as high as 180k p/w wages here. Seems like a ridiculous figure reported by the English media and wanting to paint a picture that players joining us because of money. Moreover, I don't think the club are that silly to pay so much wages for one so young, especially when we bought Hazard at 21 y/o. Will only leave us in an unfavorable position if/when we negotiate a new contract. Despiadado.Maleante
TrippingStep 336
What I like, finally since he has beginning his career, he has more players around in the team suited to his play.Matic, Willian, Eto'o have bring great added value to the team.At Lille, it was so frustrating, their set-up with fullbacks being wingers and awful technically (Debuchy Beria), Mavuba Balmont who are shit or average at quick passing when there was gaps opening for him.Gervinho, great to run into spaces but bad at link-up, Hazard after 10 games was not following him anymore as Gervinho would not pass and either shoot or goes in blind alleys in the box never looking for a team mate. The one touch quick moves we see often lately was so rare at Lille, only Cabaye in midfield could do it at Lille and some with Vittek And Cole but they were slow and could not continue the move after a good first lay-off. Mceachran 109
My favorite part about his two goals against Newcastle was that they both came out of completely unselfish play. Can't get enough of that... AswinR
Polo7 3,496
Seems like a really down to earth guy, spent his post match interviews thanking his team mates. Very unselfish as well. Really really liking Hazard....could it be love?

Fernando 6,585
But if he lay down with his ass pointing upwards, he'd be the tallest in our squad hmmmm I imagine Ronalda would love to see that!
johnnythefirst 1,076
My God, Rooney, Busquets and Hulk are so overrated...Of those seven, hulk is the most overrated player. He's not dominating at all and he's playing in a shitty league. Nor is he really a certitude in the Brazil squad (correct me if I'm wrong). Popular Post! johnnythefirst 1,076 Posted February 9, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 9, 2014 How big is he in Belgium ?We Belgians have the tendency to pull everyone down who's over average. We don't like people being better than other people, especially if they're not modest about it. (This is one of the things I hate most about the people in my country).Hazard was always seen as one of the biggest national talents ever, even when he was playing with the national under 17 squad. Still, Flemish media pictured him as somewhat of a spoiled manchild over the years. Which is completely false according to me. He's a married 23 year old father of two ffs. There was the hamburger incident (which was mostly because of frustrations due to an incapable national manager) and he hasn't really been that decisive for the national team up until some months ago. I wonder how long they'll keep downplaying him, it seems to be stopping these days. Then again, some of our more Flemish nationalistic assholes will keep disliking every celeb that openly states his love for Belgium. Even Kompany was criticised for this, and you can't be more of a model professional (or person) than Vincent Kompany, who is the true backbone of our national team.Among kids, both are vastly popular of course. Popular Post! Coop 114 Posted February 9, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted February 9, 2014 George Leekens was a real cunt. I remember he told eden not to dribble the ball but pass it! Eden did so and when he saw he would be send of by George for an other player he dribbled 3 players and almost scored. George says : in the past we always got our success with hard working non technical football, we have to continue this. O boy, it was a nice day the day he got away from our nt. The only other Belgian trainers who should be allowed to manage the national team would be Eric Gerets and maybe Preudhomme. I'm actually hoping Wilmots will stay on for years until Kompany retires and can take everything over.
Gilvorak 3,734
Is there any reason Belgium haven't been able to get the best out of him? Only 5 goals in 42 caps is suprisingly low for a player of Eden's quality. For comparisons sake, Gotze has 6 goals in 26 games while Neymar has 27 in 46 caps. As good as Belgium are, they are not on the same level as Germany and Brazil yet. They have a big potential though.
