The lesser form (wednesday he was great) isn't really a surprise is it? Every young player has a period of less form, adapting new team, new league etc..

His august month was probably to good, so everyone expected that form in the weeks after. If i'm honoust i didn't know Mata well before he came here, so i tought his first month's weren't that great, if you see 12 months further on, he's just magic from time..

Their goalkeeper does exactly what Cech does. Just stands still until the ball is struck, as any inclination of movement either way and a good penalty specialist will put it down the other side of the goal. Their keeper waited and pulled off a good save, end of story. It was a decently-hit penalty in fairness.

His good performance on Wednesday was probably a response towards Benitez's comments the other day OR it's maybe because it was only against Nordsjaelland. Take your pick.

Well, it was a game where Torres scored 2 goals.

Take your pick.

btw, in the past we had Joe Cole, and right now I did not see Hazard doind anything better than the englishmen, but he never got the hype. Hazard is good, but people in this forum make he look like Cristiano Ronaldo.

Some people fail to see how good he is and that he is only 21. People are more talking about how good he might just become, in my opinion he might become better than Ronaldo is now.

I am really relieved to hear his latest words that he has no regrest over choosing us. Of course, he wouldn't go to the media shouting the opposite but it is always nice to hear such words.

Messi is a better comparison because of his build and playing style.

If he can be 3/4 as good as messi now, I'll be more than happy

Go on Redcafe.com (man u forum) and find the Hazard thread. What haters speaking like they know everything about him and the contract he has

Just read some of the posts and it's pathetic. Most of them just believe what the media wrote about him and his character thinking he is all arrogant when he actually isn't! Bet they wouldn't be thinking him like that had they signed him.

Joe Cole was here for 7 years, Hazard has only been here for 4 months...

Give him time to develop.

Also i don't really get why you had to post this. Noone mentioned Ronaldo or anything like that. People on here just liked his performance, liked his dribbles and want to see more of it. Don't see what's wrong with that.

Personally i think he can become a player like Ronaldo, Messi. Ofcourse not an exact copy but you know, a game changer. A player who can win a game with 1 brilliant moment. Someone who the oppositions fears.

Am I the only one that keeps growing a worry? He's not really showing that quality everyone promised he has. Still willing to be patient, but if there was ever a time for some price-tag justification.. Now would be nice!

I thought, apart from a few classy touches including the first assist, that he was poor today. Lost the ball too often; I think it was something like 1 out of 9 successful dribbles today.

I agree that he was poor today and lost the ball too many times but i prefer him trying to dribble opponents, try to make something happen, rather then just passing it back. Ofcourse he needs to have more succesfull dribbles but i want him to run at players.

He still have problem adapting to the physical nature of EPL. He is not super fast nor athletic so I think it will take him a while to adapt and change his game a little bit.

Agree, but I think he needs a rest, looked a yard off pace today.

Mate i get that 32 million is a lot of money for a player and that you want to see real quality but you have to remember

he's 21 years old at a new club that's going through a transition phase, in a physical league , in a new country not to mention the pressure of that big price tag. Give him some more time. PL is probably the hardest league to adapt to because of the physicality and quick tempo.
