I doubt that they would even consider a £25m bid + Malouda bid for him. And he did make contact but Hazard didn't want to leave. I thought people would got that by now, it was out of the club's and AVB's control. I'm sure that if we had a realistic chance of getting him in january, we would have tried.

to be fair we were linked a lot with dialogues then all of a sudden it went quiet so... either a deal was agreed for the summer or it was a blaetant no wait till summer

but imho he would definatley pick us over anybody with his belgian teammates, wages and fee all favouring us!

and if we do miss out on 4th its only one year we miss champs league!? will affect us financially but shouldnt put hazard off!

And why on earth would they agree to that, this isn't De Bruyne, his value will go even further up in the summer and more teams will be fighting over him. Why would they have want to sell him in january?

The kid probably doesn't want to arrive at a club that is struggling like ours. If I was him I wouldn't touch Chelsea with a 30 foot stick. He has much better options then us !

It will be interesting to see what happens. I think the domino that will make or break Tottenham/Hazard is Harry. If he takes the England job, you can kiss Modric and/or Bale goodbye. Maybe they use those funds to make a massive bid for Hazard but I still see him going for more than 40 million this summer. Well out of Tottenham's budget unless Modric or Bale are sold. If Harry stays, Tottenham have a much better chance at getting him compared to if he were gone. I think Hazard is just playing the game right now and between him and his agent, just trying to increase the bidding war. My opinion is Harry to England, Hazard goes to United, Bale to Madrid and Modric comes to Chelsea this summer. Lots of domino's falling but hey, I guess that is why I'm on a forum.
