Lol okay. Im sure you can think of so many “best players” that Hazard is nowhere near. I’m sure most managers and players don’t think he’s one of the very best. I mean why rate a player who has been instrumental in two title wins especially when his team plays defensive football. He’s obviously can’t be as good as we think that’s why people keep comparing him to Messi and Ronaldo. I mean when KDB or Sanchez play well they are said to be the best in the league, when Hazard performs he’s said to be one of the best in the world. These ex players and managers really do overrate him for some reason. I think either most managers and football experts are grossly overrating him at the same time or maybe you’re underrating him. I wonder which is more probable 🤔

You were saying? Lol it’s fine to say you don’t understand why they rate him so highly or say you think he’s not performing at his potential should suggest. However, for a Chelsea fan that actually watches this guy play and not just look at MOTD and stats, and then thinking he’s overrated is very amusing. Please name those very best players that can replace Hazard in this team that can actually improve this current side, excluding Messi.

Well let’s agree to disagree. I’m just curious as to who this supposedly great players are that are that better than Eden. If you think he’s overrated and you’ve actually watched a lot of our games then I have no words for you. We just see football differently. Merry Xmas

He doesn't score enough goals to be honest. Neither does he assist enough. He is obviously our best player and has been for quite some time but he will never reach his true potential when playing alongside these donkeys.

I don't think he helps himself sometimes either. The chance that was cleared off the line against Brighton? Could have shot first time with his left foot but overdid it. Same goes for the later one where we had only Ryan to beat. It's almost as if he's trying to score the picture perfect goal.

Nah his goalscoring record is quite decent. Our team in general does not create enough chances. I am pretty sure if he is with pool or city, he will be scoring goals for fun

I also find it a bit funny when people criticize Hazard for assists, when it is his teammates constantly robbing him of assists with shit finishing or decisions. Looking at purely the number behind assists is one of the most meaningless statistics without context, without looking at what the player does before creating key chances (chances created > assists).. and so on. And the way assists are sometimes counted is also ridiculous, but nobody looks at that. Some of the most important contributions are not and cannot be measured in numbers, not fairly anyway. Instead of statistics, use your eyes.

Eden as we know has a big ego which most players/sportsmen with talent have and he needs it stroked all the time. Hes amazing when he comes out with that cheeky grin cause you know hes up for it But a player withhis talent needs to be able to turn on at will.He wanted to play more central and now he is. 80 goals in 274 games isn't really that good for a player of Edens quality mate. I love him as much as the next fan but this bias towards him is blinding people from the fact that he just doesn't score enough goals or assist to be on the top 3 players in the World, which is what many people claim.

Again using two basic metrics to measure a player's worth. Tell you what, Sterling and Salah are putting up bigger numbers than Hazard this season, therefore they must be better players. Would you take either instead of Hazard in our team? If yes, then fair enough, that's your rightful opinion. If no, then explain why.
