He was okay throughout the match (probably 6/10), definitely looked more dangerous in the No.10 role.  Once Mertens and Carrasco came on, he seemed to have a bit more time and space.

It was an underwhelming performance from Belgium.  KdB was below par, Lukaku showed his level of maturity and Fellaini was rubbish for most of the game (in the no.10 and CM roles).

I feel bad for him. He has never had the opportunity to play in a functioning team, apart from Chelsea of Fall 2014. When teammates are static and just standing there without any effort to make runs, Hazard will also look ordinary. He needs the team to create movement in the final 3rd but the current Belgium team is a perfect example of a team that relies solely on the individual efforts, much like Chelsea in the past 6 years or so. No structure whatsoever and the opponents can easily afford to have 2-3 players marking Hazard at all times. Having donkeys like Lukaku or Origi as strikers surely don't do any favours to Hazard's play either.

I thought he and Vertonghen were Belgium's best players yesterday. He definitely was not poor and was the only one who actually looked like doing something. Not great, not poor. Decent.

His game of "I will never shoot the ball into the net until I can pass it inside the goal with a 100% chance of scoring" is a complete down for me. He had one or two chances where he could have scored from distance (Or at least I think, I literally saw only red dots threatening the Italian wall.) but no, he decided to dribble with very little effect against us. Still he was the more effective of an otherwise toothless attack.
I thought the same of Vertonghen in the second half pushed up the pitch quite a lot.

On another note who the fuck is Ciman?

He tried to shoot yesterday actually, and it wasn't very good shots (from my memory one was left leg and one was blocked).
