The Big Drog 1,110
Please let this happen. What an incredible signing Luiz would be for the club and on top of that we may actually con someone into taking Kalou from us, its the deal dreams are made of. LDN Blue 7,903
Hummm, "theres nothing to suggest this". All you know about this came from the press, so the things you have heard "to suggest" theres nothing true in this "rumour" might be also wrong... imo there is a lot of things suggesting that we are close in signing him.Good point. But big clubs like ours are always suspected with meeting other clubs and being in contact with them. Only 1 media outlet is actually reporting Benfica officials are in London and all others are riding on that too.

SkySports are saying it on their website, but I can't decipher if I should believe the SkySports website or not?

It was then revealed this was a rumour started by agents to get that very thing done when really, there'd been no contact at all.
chrismada9 1,948
Yes, but even they've said "Reports in Portugal suggest"Then in that case, there's no way it can be true! Unless SkySports are dubbing it to be true, otherwise why would they make a big deal over it?

After 3 failed bids, I find it hard to believe the Benfica president is in London to discuss the bid, I don't believe Roman is once to cave to the asking price. If he is here and a deal is being negotiated, then fair do's. But until that's properly confirmed, I find it hard to believe.
termninja 5,290
Check this, we give them Kalou, get Luiz and then get Sanchez, but it won't happen, at least not 'till summer. But, this also means that Sturridge will get more chances

magic weeds 446
This might be true that the dudes are in London. Lets say the Benfica guys learnt that Chelsea can get a deal done by Monday for KJAER, so that erases any chance of chelsea taking Luiz and paying all that money. They know that no other club will pay that kind of money (apart from City, who have already said that they will not be paying over the odds). Real Madrid will never pay that kind of money for a defender. So infact, if chelsea get Kjaer for 12M, then Benfica will have lost big time. Something funny is that even Benfica fans are saying is better the Club sells Luiz because he is not even worth that money.

Does he get to make a decision on what happens and what doesn't?? That's what I want to know.
