Well i don't see those to being here next year , maybe Essien at a push but with Marin and KDB coming in i can't see a place for Malouda. it would be a good place to give time to players like Lukaku (assuming he isn't out on loan)

Thinking we would win the EL with youths and/or reserves is naive. The first message it would send out is "we don't care about this competition" hence our players will be demotivated and opponents will smell blood and really have a go at us. This is a competition that middle-upper teams take very seriously, as it's their only realistic chance for European glory. Take it as a stroll in the park, you end up like the mighty Mancs.

No, we'd honestly struggle to win it full strength. It's probably a tougher competition than the CL for a big club as there's distractions, plus complacency and the fact that most players aren't arsed.
