Greek euro results:

New Democracy (centre right they call themselves): Smacked. 27% from 41% in the general election last year. It's well beyond the expected drop in a loose euro-election.
Syriza. (left - eurocommunist - Hamas): Mini revival, probably 15%.
Pasok (socialists): False dawn from the once omni-powerful, omni-much money greens. No revival. Only 11.5%.
Extreme right: Without banned Golden Dawn in it whose business was to deface the national monuments, got 16%. It's three of them now but that was some progress.
Naturally those all went to vote, together with wives and children, whereas the total turnout was pretty slim.
Communist party: Their usual 8%. No plus, no minus.

New Democracy suffered because of their harsh economic policies (overtaxing the poor people), because of the price inflation and because of their pro-LBGTQ legislations. But in the absence of serious political opposition they won't resign.
Extreme right result was expected.
Syriza mini revival and Pasok failure is the mystery and in fact it's why we won't have a serious political opposition.
It appears the appeal of the true centre (or approximately true centre) is gone for good and we don't even have the atmosphere of anger of 2012-15 now.
This last is the most worrying aspect of the result.

It is scary allover Europe.
I predict the establishment parties will start showing respect for the extreme right, leading to harsh police state, violence and counter-violence.
It does n't look good and of course I cannot believe the extreme right wingers have in mind -or ever had in mind- to make things better for the people in the economic sphere of things.
What most of them used to do was to beg factory owners to hire them as strike breaking force and half of those factory owners actually hired them to do that while the other half did not.
But the rightists had more aces up their sleeves, besides their fake patriotism and hate campaigns against immigrants.
One was the covid vaccine. They have enlisted lots of idiots to their ranks with the anti-vaccine propaganda.
The other was the LBGTQ legislation. The Mitsotakis government rather pointlessly allowed child adoption by LBGTQ people - now they have paid for this.
It's not however true that the right wing actually won the +5% they claim. Because they were favoured by the differential turnout.
The New Democrats -like me- did not bother to turn up because of the governments stupid recent policies.
The right wingers turned up with their wives and children to vote for their rubbish parties.
Similar things must have happened all over the continent and as for the socialist - left opposition, those are imbeciles from birth.
I 'd rather vote for the communist party -the real mc coy- any day despite the gulags than them.

The former home secretary says there is ‘not much difference’ between Reform UK’s policies and those of the Conservatives

Suella Braverman has urged the Conservatives to embrace Nigel Farage, as senior Tories begin discussing the future of the party after a torrid few days for Rishi Sunak.

The former home secretary said that it was time to “unite the right” and that there was “not much difference” between Farage’s policies and the Tories’.

Sunak is expected to promise another 2p cut in national insurance as he uses the Conservative manifesto launch on Tuesday to attempt to move on from his gaffe of returning early from last week’s D-Day commemorations.

The prime minister will return to the campaign trail on Monday after spending the weekend enduring intense criticism over his D-Day decision.

One of his closest allies was on Sunday forced to deny that the prime minister might quit before the election. Mel Stride, the work and pensions secretary, said that Sunak “deeply regrets” his D-Day error but would “absolutely” lead the Conservatives into the election.

Farage on Sunday accused Sunak of being “utterly disconnected by class, by privilege, from how the ordinary folk in this country feel” as he argued that Reform could become the main opposition to Labour.

Polling for The Times and Times Radio found that voters who backed the Conservatives in 2019 trusted Farage over Sunak on immigration and the NHS, highlighting the damage the Reform leader is doing to Tory hopes.

Saying the Conservatives were “incapable”, Farage insisted his party was on the verge of overtaking the Tories in the polls. “If we overtake them, well, you could find a big surprise result in terms of
who gives that voice of opposition,” he told the BBC.

Sunak has repeatedly argued that a vote for Farage will put Starmer in No 10, but Farage on Sunday said that “Labour have won already” and “the real question here is who is going to provide a voice of opposition in parliament, and in the country, to a Starmer government?”

In an interview with The Times, Braverman said it was “a real shame” that the right-wing vote was split between the Conservatives and Reform.

Saying the Conservatives should be a “broad church” and a “welcoming party”, she said that the Tories should find a way to merge with Reform UK because “we shouldn’t be divided on this side of the political spectrum”.

Braverman said that she welcomed Sunak’s more hardline approach to immigration — such as his new policy to introduce a cap on work and family visas and his toughening stance on the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), joking that he had adopted the “Suella agenda”.

The Conservative party manifesto is expected to pledge to reform Britain’s membership of the ECHR and leave “all options on the table” if that fails, according to sources working on the document.

YouGov polling for The Times and Times Radio found that Farage was far more trusted on immigration than Sunak among those who backed the Tories at the last election. Some 44 per cent of 2019 Tories trusted Farage most on the issue against 21 per cent saying Sunak.

Farage was also more trusted on the NHS among this group with 33 points to 20. Sunak was only narrowly ahead, 22 to 19, on the cost of living. Sunak’s net favourability was overall lower than Farage’s, -45 against -38, and particularly so among 2019 Tories, -1 against +10.

The polling also found that 39 per cent of Reform voters said they would vote Conservative if Farage’s party were not standing, in a sign of the impact it is having on the Tories. Just 4 per cent would otherwise vote Labour, with 24 per cent saying they would otherwise stay at home.

However, it showed that only 43 per cent of voters had definitely decided how they would cast their ballot, with 23 per cent saying they may well change their mind.

Braverman urged her Conservative colleagues to adopt a more welcoming approach to Farage, who last week dealt a major blow to the Tory campaign by announcing he is standing for parliament.

“We need to, in the future, to find some way to work together because there shouldn’t be big differences between us,” she said. “I would welcome Nigel into the Conservative party. There’s not much difference really between him and many of the policies that we stand for.

“We are a broad church, we should be a welcoming party and an inclusive party and if someone is supportive of the party, that’s a precondition and they want Conservatives to get elected then they should be welcomed.”

The question of how to respond to the threat of Farage has become a key talking point among Conservatives and is threatening to divide the party. It is likely to play a central role in any leadership contest that follows the election if the party loses power.

Braverman is expected to throw her hat into the ring for a second time while Priti Patel, another former home secretary, is also being tipped to stand but has made clear privately that she would not invite Farage to rejoin the Conservatives.

Other senior Tories including Liz Truss and Jacob Rees-Mogg have said Farage should be welcome to join the Tories. However, Kemi Badenoch, the business and trade secretary and another likely contender for the top job, has told colleagues that if she becomes leader, she will not admit Farage to the party, while moderate figures including James Cleverly, the home secretary, are also opposed.

Interviewed by The Times on Saturday, Farage said he preferred Braverman to Badenoch and that there was “no contest”.

Quite shocking when u realise that this fake happened almost 10 years ago and the media really believed it. With AI and all that stuff, there will be lots of these in the future.

Varoufakis was not elected or came anywhere near.
Anyway he used to be an orderly of Tsipras the other clown.
What they really meant -but don't dare to admit- was to ally themselves with Putin in return for economic assistance.
But the Russians are not known for their gallantry.
However Putin gave to Tsipras a puppy dog.
Varoufakis is also a neo-marxist in economic matters (let the poor make consortium with Rolls Royce and all that).

What is happening here is this:
The far right was always with us and it was not only the fringe groups such as the BNP, KKK as some people believe.
Take for exapmple Greece  before the dictatorship of 1967.
The conservative party's strength was about 35%. Thay could n't have been more otherwise they could govern and there would be no case for dictatorship.
But about half of them were nicknamed "the hard core" - they were openly pro dictatorship before the dictatorship.
One of the leaders of the hard core was Evangelos Averof (nowadays regarded as one of the historic statesmen of Greece). This man was the number one arch-enemy of the Papandreous and after the restoration of democracy in 1974 he continued to be their number one arch-enemy.
But he was also an acquaintance of my father, who was a Papandreou voter. They knew each other from a chess club they both used to frequent.
So ten days after the so called revolution they meet each other in the street and in slow voice Averof says to my father "the country is now in a terrible situation my friend".
When my father came home and related to me this story I was surprised but not so terribly surprised really because I had already gathered an idea of what was going on.
Averof therefore took a stand against the dictatorship, but his supporters, the 17-18% ?
The way we knew them and the way they used to behave makes that unlikely.
They were stuck in the conservatvie "National Radical Union", then the leadership of the National Radical Union declared themselves against the dictatorship, but ?
For the UK similar things can be said about the Tory ultras (make the trains run on time and the rest).

All of them folks -or their sons, daughters- at some time became autonomous and we see what we see now.
The real big problem is in the rest of the population.
The lunatic left and the commies dominate decisively.
So one or the other is maybe destined to dominate and impose their kind of dictatorial rule.

For whatever happens to the world and to Europe the left is entirely to blame.
Not the fascists.
Because you can't blame a jungle animal for being a jungle animal.
Those who have been duped by the left are to blame.

Joe Biden son found guilty on all 3 felony charges:

Its actually wild how Biden made his name in the senate being able to work "Across the aisle" with segregationists by saying our schools would turn into jungles if we integrated.....and his living boy is a literal felon crackhead. Life is a funny thing. The brush you use to paint someone else literally paints you.

On the other hand, as far I know, *Hunter* Biden isn't the president, neither is he running to become the president. 🤷‍♂️
Aside from right winger's obsession in creating some (false) equivalence, few people care about his son.

Contrary to the nepotistic former president (when the whole family was in the administration), Hunter was never part of the government.

Reckon the corruption of Clarence Thomas deserves its own public trial. I mean public opinion given that there is no law or accountability once someone gets into that group of friends called the Supreme Court.
