I think Israel should jump in Ukraine and help.

Since no one will help Ukraine. They have no choice because Russia next target is Israel. So might as well jump at it before they get attack by Russia, Iran and others.

Israel accuses Russia of committing war crimes in Ukraine

Israel’s foreign minister, Yair Lapid, has strongly condemned Russia’s “war crimes” in Ukraine in a statement intensifying Israel’s criticism of Russia since its invasion of Ukraine.

Russian foreign minister says Ukrainians are Nazis because they won’t share their borscht recipes. Famous for her drinking habits, she’s also shitfaced.

At this speech the official representative of @MID_RF Maria Zakharova declared that the reason for war was Ukrainians didn't want to share borscht with her. Also she is apparently absolutely drunk

BBC: Russian flagship Moskva has sunk - state media

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-61114843

A Russian warship that was damaged by an explosion on Wednesday has sunk, Russia's defence ministry has said.

Moskva, the flagship of Russia's Black Sea fleet, was being towed to port when "stormy seas" caused it to sink, according to a ministry message.

The 510-crew vessel was an important symbolic and military target, and has led Russia's naval assault on Ukraine.

Ukraine claims it struck the warship with its missiles, but Russia has made no mention of an attack.

Throughout Thursday there were conflicting reports from Moscow, Kyiv and the Pentagon on what happened to the ship, whether it was still on fire - or had sunk.

The department said the asset freezes would “prevent these assets from being repatriated to Russia and used to fund Putin’s war machine”.

I thought that bit was interesting. If we are preventing from assets going to Russia so they don't use for war, then what are we doing with countries buying oil and natural resources from them?

Not even to mention China doing some sort of business with Russia.

''They lie about their lies and everything they do; including the half-baked insane Rwanda con which is designed to get anti-immigrant frothers to vote for them in the local elections. It is so sad that Blighty politics has been reduced to a half-assed, dead-beat, amoral maelstrom of racist, bigoted politicians who do 'politics' for themselves and their oligarch pals.''

As I type this I can't remember any examples though I'm sure you could remind me of some. I'm also sure you could remind me of many, many more wing nuts of the right in the US. What's worse is that what gets classified as the extreme right is a much smaller space in the US than it is in Europe. Much of the opinion that would be reviled in Europe gets elected to Congress in America. You have to be way beyond the pale to be labelled 'extreme right' yet rightist extremists still outnumber those of the left many multiple times. Fascists and theocrats abound.

America is steering itself toward its own downfall. The most popular broadcaster on the right defends Putin and has his lawyers defend him against defamation charges by stating that only idiots would believe anything he says so he can't be defaming anyone because everyone knows he's full of crap. This is what his own lawyers say in court yet the idiots still DO believe him. Currently an uneducated, ignorant, moron like Hershel Walker leads the polls in Georgia and seems to be heading for the Capitol. I really don't know what America is going to do to save itself from itself.

It is quite remarkable to see the intellectual decline of the USA, how increasingly more influenced the masses are by ever-growing blatant populism and demagoguery. Even their last few presidents mirror that decline in society, when Trump and Biden are the most popular candidates they can put out despite having way more competent people to choose from. Could it be attributed to the lack of free or affordable education? Or is it the quality of education - or both? This is one fundamental flaw in democracy - you can't trust the people to make the best choices, but the better educated they are, the more likely they are to collectively make the best choices. We are easily influenced and manipulated, some more than others, by people or entities with power, money and control over information, who will find ways to exploit our gullible hive minds for their gains. In such cases critical thinking is essential in societies, but you can't expect that from people who are uneducated, neglected and angry, which is what I believe to be the case in the States more than in many European countries, due to us having free/cheaper education and healthcare (but that makes us commies, doesn't it).

good points, and the Republicans there are all out trying to destroy the public educational system, as they rely on the ignorant for a huge part of their base

Trump 'I love the uneducated'

And needs them. No uneducated and underinformed people, no Donald Trump in politics.

This is not to say that educated people do not support Trump. Some do but this is because they see him as useful to their aims, not because they are taken in by any of his lies, money grabbing cons, or his shallow thinking.
